The only reson they have that majority is because hardley any seats that have come up for election, and the ones that have come up they have lost. People are sick to death of them, long may it be before they are ever allowed to run our country again.

For those that were having the problem with the broken activation after cloning, I fixed this by taking out the licence registry key and then running Notebook and reactivating the product. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\SMART Technologies\Licence Information\Keys\Clash Notebook I deleted the hex named folder under Clash Notebook ran smart notebook and activated it again fine. Just if anyone else needed it.

Tried that at the time, the problem is not with the path description, its that the script adds the quotes in the target path, which causes the shortcut not to work. "\\whatever\whatever" wont work \\whatever\whatever works

I am trying to auto install an icon on user desktops for an exe using a network path. I have 2 problems: 1. Throws up an error saying unable to save shortcut 2. it puts quotes around the target path and the shortcut then does not work. If I manually edit the shortcut and take the quotes out the link works with the quotes in it does not Any ideas? Copy of of the code I have written is below Thanks. set Shell = CreateObject("WScript.Shell") DesktopPath = Shell.SpecialFolders("AllUsersDesktop") set Link = Shell.CreateShortcut(DesktopPath & "\Testbase KS3 Mathematics.lnk") Link.TargetPath = "\\10.xx.xx.xx\Testbase32\Testbase32.exe K3_MATHS" Link.Save

I think you will find that that is totally incorrect Geoff as I have just installed one, I checked with our Local Council for all the regulations and if I needed planning permission and they said it was perfectly fine. I used Armored Cat5e buried 18 inches underground, works a treat.

Do you test for it, if so how do you test for it. I always get asked on surveys what percentage of staff are competent in the use of ICT, most of the time its a guess. Is there any software out there that gives you an indication? Does anyone else even test their staff. Ideas very much appreciated

Michael Martin MP and John Prescott MP both who have lined their own pockets under the guise of helping the common poor worker. Arthur Scargill to name another, didnt really see him struggling for money ofter the miners strikes. Unions are like pyramid selling schemes.

If I went to work worrying about being accused of something I would never go to work.

I hate unions. The only people shop stewards are interested in is themselves.
