£1450 , and 30-40 for the cables ..give or take. My time..slightly harder to put a price on I guess. Depends how much there is to be done, generally a white board would be put up during a term break, or an inset day. The whiteboard goes up with 4 large screws drilled..so thats about 5 mins. The cabling + trunking takes about 10 mins to put up, projector usually takes the longest to drill into the ceiling..worst case scenario about 40 mins (often takes less to drill it than that though). So maybe..max for the lot is about an hour. Dont get me wrong..I am not knocking anybody for using a third party to install, I was just curious how much their installation is, because generally the people we've looked at in the past want another 500-750 to install it, ..wish I was paid 500-750 per hour, but sadly I am not quite yet , from what I have seen so far it just works out cheaper *for us* for me to install it

What would be even better, would be if the adults who are supposed to be educating the future business employees of our country , would have enough intelligence to not leave their laptops/PCs open. Course , sadly this often proves a much too difficult task. Its a wonder at times they know how to close a door

That could be bad news. During the last SIMS update patch we did, there was some problem and a restore from the backup was required. When we did this , we lost every single custom report we had. We had the same problem as you, the files were listed but "could not be found on document server" whenever you tried to access them. Turns out that the custom reports get embedded into some SIMS and SQL files instead of being kept as seperate files. We contacted our SIMS support folks, and plowed through the capitaes support.net ...all to no avail. The end result after many weeks was that every custom report had to be rewritten as there was no way to get them back.

Cant say that we have noticed any delays with any aspects of PMP. User list, printer lists, and group all load and refresh swiftly, even reports are generated speedily We have it running on a P4 2.8, 2gig ram , windows server 2003, which is running as a dedicated print server
