Got to admit, its a really well done image ! On the opposing side though (as a keen archaeologist and worshipper of all things historical), I can kind of see why some might complain. Its a little bit *too* close to the giant. Would be the same with any monument, I doubt too many would be impressed if I created a mimic stonehenge made of toilet rolls right next to the real stonehenge, or if I made a mimic sphinx next to the real sphinx made out of empty crisp packets. Brilliantly well done though.

It doesnt necessarily have to be free, they can charge you (if they are collecting from you, rather than you taking it to them), but they can only charge you for the "logistical" costs involved. ie. courier costs. Not on the same scale, but as an example, I recently had a new cooker delivered, and the company took away my old cooker under WEEE (I hadnt bought the old cooker from them), they basically charged me 4 quid for the costs incurred in the collection and courier of the old cooker.

Thats an oddity, we are using 2007 here for curriculum. Have clicked remove on several users and never had it delete the user from the AD as well yet. Having read this , I just "removed" another one just to be sure that I had been using remove, and sure enough it removed the mailbox, but didnt remove the user from AD /shrug

In the end I used the CIW/CMW tool from the outlook 2003 resource kit to create an MST file for updating the office installation. Once I had created the MST file to the settings I wanted, problem was solved.

Wait..scratch that, think I found a way.

Does anyone know if there is a switch or something whereby the startup wizard for outlook can be disabled? (in the event of several users all using outlook on the same machine, its annoying with the startup wizard opening each time)

We are using ISA here to perform the same sorts of capabilities as webman above, (per room internet on/off, blacklist/whitelist/individual user banning etc. ) Havent had any troubles with it. School I was at prior to coming here had a linux system for it and I have to admit that worked fine too. I think both options are viable, and it will really boil down to which one you can pick up easier

Yup , got our results downloaded and printed out and whipped over to the exams officer. Our results were all pretty irrelevant though as in the end SMT just decided to blanket enter every student at the same ILA level

Its equipment from anyone..I have spent the last hour checking the official documentation from the government and the EU. They can however charge to take the goods away, but they cannot charge for disposing the goods, or treatment or recycling, they can only charge for the "logistics" of taking the goods away. Which I assume means the courier cost.

The other puzzler I have is the section where it proclaims that the new supplier is obliged to freely takeback old products for disposal, whether they originally supplied those products or not. So..does that mean that if I buy in 30 PCs to upgrade a suite originally purchased in 2003, that the new supplier has to dispose of the old 30 PCs, whether they were bought from them or not??

Yeah I read that, the bit that puzzled me was the section where it says "Your supplier is legally obliged under the WEEE directive to provide a takeback service for free" for the disposal of equipment. If I read this right, that would mean that the company we buy our PCs from, be it Dabs.com or Dell or whatever has to legally provide a disposal facility for free??

I use windows slideshow to show a slideshow sequence of photos of my daughter Bethany for my desktop

All these flippy roladex and spinny cube things do my head in. I dont want my desktop swinging about all over the place, I want my desktop to stay static so that I can actually use it.
