Couple of reasons holding me back currently, i) financially I am not so sure of the move ii) Our daughter is still only 19months old, and I am not sure about such a move for a child of that age iii) Last time I looked at the possibilities of emigrating to the US from the UK , it was very difficult to get a move iv) My dad pretty much missed out on all of my years between about 10 and 25, with our daughter now and with the father-son relationship between my dad and I now being where it really should be, I dont really want to now seperate us by half a globe Way I see it, when I weigh things up, I still have many decades ahead of me, so I can bide my time and go in the future, when Bethany is a little older and my dad and I have had a chance to live the relationship we always should of had and also so he can get some of what he missed with me with his granddaughter

Watch out for those Reno police This is a no-brainer question for me, hands down..without a second thought..I would like to emigrate to Keystone in Colorado, and spend out the rest of my days there with my family. We have spent many a december there, its at an altitude of 2 miles, has utterly gorgeous landscape, is warm in the summer and snowy in the winter, thereby giving you the best of both the main seasons, has stupidly cheap living costs and is beautifully peaceful and quiet, away from the bustling crowds of modern life, technology and cities. (I am , somewhat ironically, not actually much of a fan of technology believing that its probably done just as much damage to society as not, hence I live for the day when I can live somewhere more countrylike)

I handle stress by continually living in a fantasy world inside my head, conversations with myself and thought processes zipping off at random tangents. While people around me panic and devolve into stress related frenzy, I happily proceed with things surrounded by rainbow coloured skies and chattering bunnies offering me sumptuous amounts of cadburys fruit and nut.

Thats exactly what I figured, the only way I could see of doing it would be to have "alternate" classes identical to the original class but with the college periods missing. Which, although possible, seems like alot of hassle to go through what with marksheets and so on, for a seemingly small issue.

God...I just know that I am not going to explain this very well...but here goes. Admin came up with a question yesterday, and I have my suspicions that what they want to do isnt possible, so wondered if anyone knew before I start looking at it. We have some students who are out on college courses on certain days, this means that they miss specific lessons. For example, we might have a student who is enrolled on course Science 1 , this means he has a Science 1 lesson as per the course , on Monday period 2, Wednesday period 3 and Friday period 5. However, he is on the college course for Monday period 2 and so isnt in school. Now..on the timetable for him it shows he should be in science 1 for mon p2, wed p3, fri p5. What admin want is for it to show only wed p3 and fri p5 for this particular student, with mon p2 showing as nothing (as he is at the college). I am not sure if thats possible or not, as I was under the impression that as far as its concerned , someone is either a member of a course or isnt. Not that they are a member of a course, but not on this specific period during the week, but are in the other periods. Absolutely bloody awful explanation, but hope it kind of gets it across. Anyone know if such a thing is actually possible?

We had a room which had machines doing that last term, during the summer we re-terminated the network points and its been fine ever since. Even though when we took the socket off the wiring looked ok, we still re-patched the points anyway

Like Sidewinder we use a login script (not dissimilar to the one which Geoff posted up there), and havent had any issues with the 2015s we have and restricted profiles.

We pretty much just gave up, teachers were installing masses of games on their laptops, some even put porn on there, or rather they said their son/daughter/niece/nephew did...yeah? and what were they doing using it anyway..its a laptop for the teacher, not for the teacher to freely lend out to whomever they want to use it. After multiple occurrences of it happening, no punishment being dished out and several heated conversations about why they cant do what they want with "their" (sorry...I thought it was the schools and you were just borrowing it) laptops. We just gave up, now they get admin rights and are free to do whatever they, or as is more likely their son/daughter/niece/nephew, want to do with it. We find that most just use the laptops as a free computer for their kids anyway

On the plus side, at least the plus side on a personal level , I just installed my copy, no problems, activated without a hitch. I love the graphics, they look fantastic and run ultra smooth all maxed out on my system, and I dont have a widescreen monitor so I am not fussed if it supports it or not As I say, thats just on a personal perspective though

Its not too bad really..they give you 5 activations of the serial key. But thats simultaneous activations, so activate it once, then activate it again on another machine (thats 2 activations), then if you uninstall it off one, you get that activation back , which takes you back to 4 activations remaining. Cant really see what the hoo-hah is all about unless someone wants to install it on 6 machines simultaneously..and they shouldnt be doing that anyway of course

I absolutely LOVED the demo, downloaded it earlier this week from Fileplanet. I have to say that the water and fire effects , and the graphics overall in the game are fantastic (though admittedly I do have a very powerful gaming rig), the storyline seemed very good, and the music (which was 1920-1940s style) and sound were brilliantly atmospheric. Just popped out to Game a few moments ago and bought the full release of the game. Looking forward to giving it a play tonight
