  1. The thirteenth was Peter Capaldi - at least it was his image they showed immediately after that line was spoken.
  2. No, no hosted environment. I already have a call open with our LA support, but they keep sending requests to ICT services, asking them to release the new version to SOLUS3. I had to tell them there wasn't a new version. I'm waiting on the result of their escalation. I've tried a new workstation install, I'm loath to fiddle with the server install as it was done by the LA.
  3. My database also shows 7.152.59, with an upgrade date of 30/7/13
  4. I'm confused - our students don't have permissions to copy the brushes either - they don't copy them anywhere - they simply tell photoshop where in their user area they are, and they work from there. I've just double checked the presets\brushes on a number of out (heavily used) art machines - none of them have any other than the brushes that load with photoshop.
  5. Our students save the brushes in their user area and then follow these instructions: Go to where you usually choose your brushes in the top left corner of Photoshop. Click on the little down arrow so the box open and you can see some of your brushes. In the top right of the box will be a little arrow pointing to the right. Click that and then click 'load brushes'. Then locate wherever you downloaded them to in your documents and double click on the file. As long as they then don't move the brushes around or delete them they can use the brushes
  6. If they want to add brushes they can do so with brushes saved in their user area - they don't need to put them into the presets folder. Be careful though - some brushes available on the Internet are copyrighted.
  7. Here you are
  8. Could some kind person check which version of SIMS Discover they are using? We are on version 7.152.59 (Summer 1) of discover and version 7.53.10 (Summer 2) of SIMS. Any attempt to run discover fails, and the log files tell me I need to update my database, but I didn't think Capita produced a Summer 2 version of Discover.
  9. That will work.
  10. Just make sure you have no devices with static IPs (such as printers) in the range you are extending to.

It was Children in Need last night, I'm sure they could fine something to do with it
  12. It depends - if I see them turn green when I am relatively close to them I continue at my current speed. I also watch the other lights of the junction, or the pedestrian lights, they will often give a clue as to how close to changing my lights are.
  13. I ended up in Hull, although I live in Doncaster, but come from Cardiff originally.
  14. Thank you all for your feedback. My boss has arranged a demo of Insight and is impressed. He's waiting on pricing information now.
  15. Not my call - SMT don't like the look or cost of the frog parent portal. I just do as directed
  16. I'd be interested to know how it's recieved
  17. We currently use Frog, but we aren't happy with the parent portal within in. I have been asked to investigate alternatives.
  18. I've been asked to investigate a parent portal. Looking around here, I've seen good reports on TASC Insight. Any others we should look at/avoid?
  19. Looks like you're in the lead at the moment.
  20. We visited Rome a few years back - just one day though, as it was a stop on a cruise. Enough to know we must go back some time. We were stood staring at the Trevi (sp?) Fountain when we spotted one of the street mime artists going into a small cafe a few yards down a nearby side street. Thinking "if it's good enough for the locals" we followed him. We had one of the best pizzas I have ever had, salad and wine, for about 10 Euros for the two of us, when there were 2 euros to the pound. We're planning a return to Rome this spring, but I doubt we'll find that cafe again.
  21. Don't forget, dependant on your set-up, you may also have to add the system user with at least read rights to allow backup.
  22. I once suggested to the Head of ICT that instead of providing laptops we provided remote access to school computers from home. "oh" he replied, "will school will be paying for everyone's Internet connection then?" He was being serious.
  23. We have fixed machines in each classroom but still provide laptops, although I have argued against it for years. The amount of laptop envy we get each year when we hand them out is staggering.
  24. You should be able to use powershell to delete the e-mail in question - I'm not sure of the exact syntax, but I have done so in the past under similar circumstances - you use a unique phrase in the body of the e-mail and move it to a designated person's mailbox.
  25. Thank you - I'll give that a go on Monday.
