Windows 10 Education or LTSB - Which one are you using?
Joanne replied to CHiLL's topic in Windows 10
All my machines are on LTSB, but I'm working on an Education image AS WE SPEAK! -

I quite enjoy making awful footage watchable too. The kids went to a singing thing and the person recording did it in portrait mode and it was all over the place! I cropped the video and put some stablisation on there and it is just about watchable! I've discovered a good transition in powerpoint - morph. I currently don't have it, so running updates to see if it pulls down! https://support.office.com/en-gb/article/Morph-Transition-Tips-and-Tricks-bc7f48ff-f152-4ee8-9081-d3121788024f A good youtube video too -

Thought I'd start an informal thread about video editing. I seem to have been doing more recently. I'm also editing together a 'podcast' with a group of schools and I maybe use things that aren't strictly normal. So I use iMovie for my normal editing stuff, but I'm just about to put together a bit of an into in Powerpoint. Anyone use that for making little clips of animations and stuff? I'm not great at the editing part yet, but with help from local colleagues I'm getting better. I visited another tech in another school and he showed me how he does it and working together really does help get ideas flowing! What do you film? How do you edit? What software do you use?

Two monitors for teaching PC's connected to IWB's

I'm using clevertouch, so that stretches across everything. Using laptops here. I think the OPs idea is a good one and is worth trialling in a couple of classes perhaps? -

No good for a video though. With extended desktop I find that the interactivity is stretched across both screens, so when you touch the left part of the board it clicks on the left screen and when you you press on the right part of the board it clicks on the right screen. Difficult if writing on something. Fine for showing videos though. -
I've been a Scottish Power customer for about 11 years now. Every time I've checked on comparison sites it's been negligble to swap. They use a lot of renewable energy too. I always check the available tarriffs online and you can switch willy nilly. I gave E-On a chance when we moved house in January, but their online stuff is awful and the bills are confusing. I tried to change our direct debit after it said we were £140 debit and it wanted to put it down to £34 a month! Now apparently we are £80 in credit after a £79 DD... so your guess is as good as mine. Awaiting the final bill. Scottish power say that they are supplying us now, but not heard anything from E-On.

The battery in this one was a genuine apple replacement, so we were convinced that it was software related. Spoken to a few others with this issue too. Was I speaking to you on twitter about it this morning?
-
Husband had iPhone 6 battery issue where it would suddenly shut off and not come on unless you plugged it in. When plugged in it would be like 80%. He got sick of it and traded it in to get an iPhone 7. He got £130 for the 6 at carphone warehouse.

You need to get the teachers confident with being safe online first. The kids know more than the teachers already in most cases!

Ahhhh I see. Did your insurance cover the damage?

Just out of interest... why do you want CCTV OP? I'm getting a bit edgy because almost all of my neighbours have it. We just have a dog! Hahahah! I'm also of the thought that I don't really have anything really worth stealing.

When I come to replace my minis I'll probably go android and then I can re-use the insync cases which cost an absolute fortune.
