Have a look at Vidahost / Tsohost. They offer cPanel hosting and are reasonably priced and totally reliable.

Perhaps worth sending this to Benjamin Yeh who appears to be the UK Managing Director? ASUS UK Managing Director Email address and Telephone number (Benjamin Yeh)

Currently use Vipre but looking at alternatives. As it stands, ESET has come in cheaper than Vipre and seems to achieve better results in tests. Although am considering Kaspersky too.

I thought Lexia was all web based? Well, a program installed locally that connects to the web? Certainly in our case we manage users through a website.

[Hosting] Let me know if any questions - Vidahost
Edu-IT replied to vidahost's topic in Web Development
Agreed. Have moved a few .sch.uk domains to their brands and had no issues at all. -
What is the latest Impero release number?

Regardless of their reply, I'd still be flagging this up to the relevant people.

Does your internet security allow staff to watch help guide videos?
Edu-IT replied to Schoolcomms's topic in MIS Systems
We allow YouTube. -
Would it be easier to pull this information from AD, if there isn't a report?
-
The company we used handled it all. They purchased the license on our behalf, and it's costed in to the solution they provide.

Could you try download the Service Packs manually, installing those, then trying update again?

I think it might be Wulff?

Interested. Would you consider shipping if the school covered the cost and organised the collection?

There is a Postgres version update in the works.

I would agree. That tallies with what I have heard, including from people who work in the business. You may find another company won't touch the system if ADT - or another company for that matter - already have contracts in place. That said, if you only have a Fire contract with ADT, you may be fine.
-
I would imagine so as long as it's for the same make? I don't think the license is tied to a device serial number. May be better to ask a reseller though to be totally sure.

They look like email security appliances or web appliances. If you zoom in close enough you can see that one says email and one says web. Does anyone have the ESET v5 setup they can send me? Can only find v6 on their site now. Edit: Actually just found it. Typical!

Sounds like the OP is either trying to justify the need for additional hours in their contract OR the Business Manager is looking at where they can save a few quid.

What do you use to clean monitors? I am looking at the wipes, but wondering if there's a cheaper solution perhaps?

Longer Contract terms - Do you want them?
Edu-IT replied to EXA_Mark's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
Personally if I was moving to a company I hadn't used before, I wouldn't want to commit to a 5 year agreement, in case things didn't go as expected. 1 year isn't so bad to muddle on through if things aren't as you expect. I know in some cases you could pay to end a contract but that isn't good use of money. Plus with budgets as they are 5 years is a long time to commit to an agreement. I think it depends on the school, their long term plan, and the price. Oh and the company and their reputation.
