Any reason why you don't just have a 'Year Of Intake' OU? That way you wouldn't have to do promotion each year?
-
No I mean Sysman. Sysman won't exist on an SQL install? Which is all they have?
-
Using http://glow.rmunify.com any quicker? I know it redirects just curious.

The screenshot shows what looks like their own email address? *Confused* -
Where did you get the info about the delay? Does it fix the bcc event log issue?

So just to be clear. Is this a new school that doesn't have a current SIMS DB?
-
Oh. My mistake. I thought Sysman was a SIMS account and it came across as though these were creating a new DB from scratch so the account wouldn't exist.

Lightspeed / Smoothwall is more than the £250 or so that it is for SafetyNet though, by example. So cost wise I don't think it's over inflated pricing. They could just increase the price of SafetyNet and include this functionality by default but that would be at the detriment of schools who don't want / need it. -
Correct server name / instance you're trying to login to? The same details work for logging in to the SQL Management Studio?

We use Kyocera and haven't really had any issues which haven't been resolved by firmware updates.

I believe it basically means that the SQL user you are using needs to have sufficient permissions on the SQL server to be able to setup the database. https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms188659.aspx

I expect it's to cover the cost of RM Unify which will be being used for the syncing of users. -

It didn't work for me when I tried it but I could have been doing it wrong. -
[sims] SIMS Automatically Adding Behaviour & Achievement Points
Edu-IT replied to rsides's topic in MIS Systems
You can do it with PARS. It does a LOT more too, and costs, so may be overkill for what you need. Fully integrated with SIMS. They call it rule based behaviors and it's as it sounds, you set the criteria, and the outcome, and it does it on a schedule as per the rule. TASC Software | -
Is this actually any cheaper? Doing it this way, it would have cost me an extra £8. Is there a break point at which it becomes cheaper to go no standing charge.

Off-site cloud backups, who, how much (gb) and how much (£££)??
Edu-IT replied to cheredenine's topic in Cloud Services
Perfect. Does exactly what we want it to do. Occasionally had to restore a few files and it's very quick. -
If you open SIMS client on the actual SIMS server - as opposed to a computer - what happens?

For the DocStorage, what have you entered in to exclude?
