Frog hosted onsite, no contract no access?
Edu-IT replied to highsky's topic in Virtual Learning Platforms
Have you checked the terms you signed? Sounds plausable that it would - as you aren't paying for the software anymore. -
It's a decision you take on whether you 1) can afford it 2) are willing to lose the data IF it was to disappear. You may feel that some mailboxes are worth more than others, if you're looking at email backup, in which case you could just protect those.
-
I'd love to know why? Do staff actually log in to all 3 to check for messages? Sounds like now is an opportunity to explain why having a single account and aliases will work better for Teams, going forward. Use the problem you're facing in your favour as going forward it makes more sense. I can't see any benefit to every member of staff having 3 emails addresses.
-
Unless I am misunderstanding, why doesn't the main account have the 2 email addresses set as alias? Why wouldn't you use a single domain for sending/recieveing? Sounds very confusing.

Cloud backup - LGfL - Gridstore/Redstor - what to backup?
Edu-IT replied to Koldov's topic in Cloud Services
Surely backing up the user data is quite important. You can reinstall Windows etc, you can't reinstall their years of work. -
To anyone who has got new LED lights in their office.
Edu-IT replied to chazzy2501's topic in General Chat
Can the light not be moved to somewhere else so it's better for you? -
Thanks. That seems a cheaper way of doing it then. Do you have the part code?

A3 is £60 per user, per year. Is this really the cheapest way to get Intune?
-
Cost and convenience I think. You don’t need separate locks, readers, push buttons.

Would Outlook Rules not do this?

PaperCut & Schools Broadband - Print Deploy
Edu-IT replied to Edu-IT's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
Do you have papercut set up against a domain such as mypapercut.schoolname.co.uk and have mypapercut.schoolname.co.uk:9174 working so that internal clients can communicate with this domain and port? -
My last employer used PaxLock on classroom doors and it worked fine.

https://www.neowin.net/news/microsoft-teams-will-soon-allow-users-to-add-up-to-1000-participants-in-a-meeting-chat/ Suggests it's 1000?

We are posting video files to OneDrive but are having reports of them taking a while to download, not sure if this is due to the sheer volume of use of Office365. Is anyone else finding this? Are you hosting videos elsewhere? I tried using Stream but you can't allow guest access.

I went via Calendar > Meet Now so no idea where those recordings are? I certainly cannot find them.

I've been looking for a way today but can't find how.

Any left? How much?

[sims] Capita is trying to sell off non-core businesses (SIMS is for sale)
Edu-IT replied to psydii's topic in MIS Systems
I saw SIMS 8 (Primary) the other week and was actually impressed by what I saw. I didn’t think it was being actively worked on but it is. -
Helpful, thank you. It's still in their installation notes but I've checked the settings three times and still getting no response.

Anyone running the PaperCut on their Konica MFP? If you go to https://MFPIP/OpenAPI/DeviceInformation does it return a result?

Tucasi, sQuid, ParentPay to name a few.
