  3. You can set homework in SIMS or INSIGHTand both will show in INSIGHT. Setting them is very similar, but with INSIGHT you can also upload documents. Thanks Jenny - - - Updated - - - You can set homework in SIMS or INSIGHTand both will show in INSIGHT. Setting them is very similar, but with INSIGHT you can also upload documents. Thanks Jenny
  4. Can I also mention if Ok that TASC INSIGHT is not just a homework option online it does a WHOLE lot more (only parents evening booking is modular) though don't want to overstep the mark with promoting. I think it would be fair to say check it out and may be also compare pricing to single modular software available.
  5. INSIGHT recognises pupil parents/guardians from SIMS and you also have an AD link if you require. If any new parents added, you just click the sync button. INSIGHT is also a pupil login and teachers can access with no extra costs.
  6. Hi PARS will work with audio telephony systems though subject to School current system. Texts can also be sent as voice interacted calls to landlines Sorry.... can only be basic on here. Thanks

  12. Ofsted proposals 2011-05-16 32. A school’s work with parents makes a difference to how it responds to pupils’ needs and supports their learning and progress. Most schools recognise the need to engage parents. Schools that are outstanding in this respect exploit many different forms of communication, invite constructive feedback and raise aspirations by giving parents useful and frequent information about how their child is progressing. Importantly, they also show parents how they can support learning in the home. We propose to consider the quality of a school’s work with parents in the judgement on leadership and management.
  13. their! ..... Bank holiday morning spelling! :S
  14. ..... just to add - parental reporting should not just be seen as an external body requirement - Schools surely should want parents to have an active role in thier childs education and allow them to be pro-active in understanding thier childs ongoing progression/development rather than wait till a 5 minute slot at a parents evening. (talking as a parent of a 17 year old and wishing I had more access to her information - particularly homework hand-in dates!!)
  15. V. Good company - excellent solutions to cashless catering needs - have worked alongside them at various Schools around the UK and never heard a negative comment as I have with other companies. They provide as spec and very professional - links to SIMS including registration plus some .... Worth a phone call! (I rarely recommend companies!)
  16. Hi Steve ... have you spoken to support lads about 'time-out' options? May be something we can do....?!? jen
  17. Any further issues - please give our support desk a ring as we may be able to advise
  18. Are you sorted yet? with regards to reports, did you know you can schedule reports to run via PARS which will automatically send themselves to the specified staff - especially good for attendance / behaviour reports for heads year/house/curriculum leaders.... all via System Management > Automation Job. if you need to know more on this let us know as cant really say more on here. Will save time and hopefully overcome some of that thumb twiddling!
  19. Sophos can be a pain though you can add exemptions to overcome this and prevent it running when you need to sort out reports
  20. Glad you said that - keep getting phone calls asking us if were connected....
  21. PARS / TASC Software... can I point out here that TASC Software Solutions Ltd has not gone into administration! Grrrrrrr! TASC goes into administration : Yorkshire : Insider News : Insider Media Ltd no connection to our company. Had a phone call in to the office the other day asking the same question so knew about it. Bit of a pain having the same name!
  22. ...quick note..., if you use PARS then the text facility is already built in, to enable you to text parents, students and staff... approx 6p a text with no additional cost of software. PARS also has full integrated email system which is free as an already built in feature as has been available for around 5 years now. Not all Schools are aware of the feature unless its switched on...
  23. Dont forget your two factor authentication .. recommended for any schools releasing pupil information above IL4 ie... address, SEN....
