I'm just going to jump onto this thread as one of you two might know to save me making another thread, I have just got to Raspberry Pi's to run the two screens in the school, and I have got the proxy on them after much googling, but I can't seem for the life of me figure out how to get something else to work, I have enabled ssh on the Raspberry and I can putty to it, but I have no idea what the command line is to open a powerpoint show up on the raspberry pi, not the putty window (I have got libreoffice installed so it will run). Do either of you know? Thanks

To be honest I probably would go for xbox 1 as my xbox live subscription auto re-subscribed the other day, which I had completely forgotten to cancel and with my 21st on Thursday I might just have to treat myself

I'm really tempted to buy one of the next gen consoles just for this game, I have an Xbox 360, which never gets used now as I have a nice shiny pc (Shame they haven't released it for PC) but just wondering if you guys know if it is any different on xbox 360, have they cut it back and not released certain aspects etc?

To be honest for me the story has been getting worse, Black Flag probably had the best story out of them all, Unity seemed like a step back to AC 2 as you could hardly do anything other than run around a city, I preferred the massive size/difference from Black Flag you felt like you actually accomplished something and went somewhere other than from one side of Paris to the other.
-
Good thinking. I finished it but it was horrible to play, and don't think I will play that game again. It also crushed my love for the AC games.

So after the terrible shambles Ubisoft made with Assassin's Creed: Unity on the PC is anyone buying Rogue for the PC when it is released on the 10th?

Loving the new colour option, defo Little-Miss Purple for me as Purple ROCKS!!!

Totally by accident and totally useless, but I learnt that instead of pressing the windows key on your keyboard to bring up the start menu you can press ctrl+esc. Don't know why we would need this but thought it was pretty cool

Which e-reader? We have to buy soon.
scotyboy56 replied to OverWorked's topic in Mobile Devices & Tablets
Why not instead of buying e-readers, buy some windows tablets that can be used for other things, and installCalibre onto them, which can be managed easily. Or just use the money to buy the books and put calibre or something similar onto your pcs/laptops/tablets you already have? -
The only version I could see in the first post was 1.6.4, unless I'm not reading it correctly.
-
Is it still running on 1.6.4?

Whenever I try to connect it says Connection lost End of stream

Could you possibly add me? scotyboy56 Thanks

Also on windows 8+ you can press windows key and x to get the options menu in the bottom left hand corner instead of right clicking in the left bottom corner
-
Or you can open up windows explorer, and right click This PC -> Properties in windows 8+ But yes your way for windows 8+ does work, just tested it.

When I did this at one of my primary schools, I just sent the dns records that Office 365 gave me to our county broadband team, they added it for us there end and it just worked, and I have been able to access it on my phone and everything. Try it on your phone, using your mobile data to see if it works like that.

And now I'm addicted!

Nope but Dying Light is on Steam so it's all good. Because some lovely person accidentally left some lovely new Product Keys lying around on a train seat after they got off?
-
Or if you want to go cheaper Dying Light I can vouch for this site, I have brought CS:Source, Shadow of mordor, COD Advanced Warfare, and WOW expansion pack from this site, and never had an issue with my product keys before And now watching the trailer for Dying Light I want it!! DAMN YOU!!!

Hi there I am hoping someone can help, I am redoing my mums website as it is broken and rubbish, I am really stuck on one thing and I have done some googling but either I'm just braindead or nothing really useful. I have a page called add images, which has the code With the code behind code as So what im stuck with is the databinding of the dropdown menu, at the moment it gets data from one database table called categories with ID and name in the table. and when the upload button is clicked it should upload the ID of the Name to a new table called Picture, into the CategoryId column. However everytime I click upload it gives me the error (there are currently two names in the category table ID,1:Name,Bathroom ID,2:Name,Bedroom) it uploads the picture fine to the images folder with the correct name, but it doesn't upload anything to the database table Pictures. But if I remove the dropdown list it works fine. So can someone call me an idiot and tell me what simple thing I have done wrong? Thanks and sorry for the long post

Thanks for all the replies shall get round to looking at them once I have got past this annoying part I am stuck on Thanks again

I am currently rebuilding my mums website from scratch as the one I made previously doesn't really work and is broken and just a mess. I am rebuilding it in ASP.net C# as I have been teaching myself this and I can do it better than PHP which I have no idea about. At the moment she uses hostpapa for her website, email and domain name hosting. However they only support linux servers so she will need to move hosting providers soon. I am wondering if anyone knows of any Windows hosting sites that will provide email aswell, that isn't ridiculously expensive and is easy to manage etc. Thanks

Windows Linx Tablet - Viable alternative to netbook?
scotyboy56 replied to penfold's topic in General Chat
Has anyone got these working for kids to use instead of netbooks yet? Also how durable are they? Thanks
