So basically something like Lightspeed Systems/AirWatch and Foldr, but not two seperate products, does anyone know of one that mixes the two together??? Thanks

Hi there I have policy central at one of my primary schools, and on teachers laptops on the taskbar they get loads of Policy central icons appear, yet when I hover over them they disappear. Does anyone know why this is happening?? Thanks

There's a cool thing with windows phone where you can automatically share your screen to any internet enabled device by either scanning the QR code on the phone or by going to a specific website. This isn't constricted by your personal network either

Hey mate I know hope its going okay at work now Haha yes defo talking about phones still but ye just can't stand doing stuff on peoples iphones now adays as they are so small I think it might be a while till they bring out an equivalent as the 1520 has some amazing specs and its just a beast of a phone But it does lack lots of features but I have noticed it has a lot of nice features that I haven't noticed on android or iPhone.

Personally I suggest the phone I have the Nokia Lumia 1520, its a 6 inch screen running on windows. At first I had a few issues with it, but now they seem all to have disappeared. Probably because I know how to use it now But I went from iPhone 5 to my Nokia and I don't think I'm ever going back, downfall yes there aren't many apps or games. But the size is brilliant and it just works really well and I just love having such a big phone (Sorry phablet) I couldn't have a phone smaller that 5.5 inches now I don't think

Hadn't logged out of the Mac app store, but don't get why that allowed it to install the app on 1 iPad. But hey ho, its working now thank god. Do you know why it requires you to log out of itunes and app store? as it seems pointless to me, even when they are all using the same apple ID :S

PLEASE HELP!!! I have 3 apps my boss purchased through VPP 20 copies of 2 and 25 of one. I have imported the VPP codes and I can see that we are licensed for them, and somehow I have finally managed to install each app onto a different iPads, but the other iPads won't install the apps or install the other two apps. I have contacted Apple Support and they weren't much help, update the apple configurator and re-add the app. which I have done multiple times. He said he would email me in order to get in contact with him again... hour and a half ago :S Anyway has anyone come across this as it's not really making me happy right now

Plus I know we are having issues with the connection to county broadband in kiddie, so might be the cause of slow download speed but it might be fixed now..... -

Anyone got any ideas on what is causing this as I want to throw my laptop out the window Have been looking at this for a few months now, and before I was a complete Apple fanboy (iPhone 5, iPad mini, mac mini and macbook pro) Since then I have moved to a windows phone and am contemplating selling my two macs. Well I'm just glad to see that they have finally got some decent air vents, instead of the crap ones at the back, I have a 2011 MBP and it overheats like mad even on a desk in a air conditioned server room!! oh and apparently, according to Apple nothing is wrong with it...... Why the hell is there a HDMI socket on it now, that could easily have been used for something better like another USB socket or something!

Hi there I work for a school and we currently have iPads that we are managing with Apple Configurator, it works well and everything and is a dream. Just one slight issue, the lovely kids have figured out that they can wipe the iPads from the settings, so they are taking great delight in doing this to get out off work. What I am wondering is if there is anyone to set a password on the settings app so as they can't access it, or anyway to block certain settings from being available, I have looked through Apple Configurator and so far no luck, hope someone has come across this and worked out a solution. Thanks

Hi there Hoping someone can help me, I have currently got a test setup going with some virtual machines to try and get a Mac to work with a windows server, I have finally gotten it to map the users folders to documents, music etc, however when I log on as a user on the mac in the home folder for that user it creates lots of folders, Public, library etc is there anyway of stopping these folders from auto creating and stopping them from being able to access these areas? Whilst I have your attention when I log the user off (not shutdown) it removes the option to log on as a different network user. Is this something I'm doing wrong or is it good old apple making everything look simple and easy yet it is fricking impossible!! Thanks

Paid Apps not install when synced with Apple Configurator
scotyboy56 replied to spq1216's topic in Mac
Okay the only other thing I can think off is to make sure that you are logged into the account that used the VPP and not another one, other than that I'm stuck sorry. The only way I know to put paid apps on the iPad via apple configurator is to have purchased them via VPP so you will be stuck when you stop doing that, it might be worth looking at full blown management software if that is the case for you I have never used it but I have heard that it is good, so might be worth a look into. They won't be charged extra im 90% sure of that, unless you go and buy more licences. Sorry I couldn't be any more help -

Have you made sure that the apps where brought through VPP (Volume Purchase Programme). As I know when I was doing this an app my boss had brought on his account wouldn't go onto the schools iPads as it wasnt purchased through VPP. The redemption codes also seem like its an issue with not being from VPP as when you buy the apps via VPP you get a redemtion code in order to give to other people (say staff) so as they can download the app for free Hope that helps -
Hi I am having major issues at one of my schools with the magnifier showing up all the time and I can't for the life off me figure out how to turn it off (short of going round every machine and manually doing it). I am running a server 2003 domain with XP clients and I am applying policies with GP. Does anyone know a setting in GP to turn this bloody magnifier off? or a regedit to disable it permanently. Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks in advance
