I signed up for Google Apps for Education last week, but was disappointed to find we were limited to 10 users, and have to pay for one of the Business Options... Am I missing something? Is it not free for schools any more? :-/

It's going right past my school... School's starting at 0745 that day because of road closures etc. All the school's going down to the road to watch it pass... Deep Joy... :-s (I did ask if we had to go... had abuse hurled at me! lol)

I did use several paths, but didn't keep them as separate ones, so when I started a new one, it replaced the previous one... Sounds like Illustrator's the way to go... just need to get my head round it :-s lol Thanks )

Rather than requesting someone do this for me, does anyone have a good tutorial / set of instructions etc. for converting a logo I've created in Photoshop into an EPS? Does it have to be recreated from scratch in Illustrator (which I've got), or is there a way to convert it? I've looked online, but not really found a good solution so far...

Do we need to re-register now the form's fixed?

Not sure of the way it's done now - it's a few years since I registered domains... The training company could file a claim with Nominet and he may have to pay to defend his right to it... especially if it's nothing to do with his name or the purpose the site's being used for... It used to cost about £1500 to file a claim, and I've heard it cost about the same to defend it... so he may be better trying to sell it before they go down that route...

It's Spotify all the way for me... it used to be Radio 2, but I started getting too wound up with the subjects they talked about midday, so gave it up! I've had issues with the Proxy on iPads, wouldn't work just entering "proxy" as normal, but did work when entering the IP address of the proxy server...

If we can't find a new owner for these they will be scrapped as their current home is going to be converted to an office soon... If anyone's interested, we're open to any offers, just need to get shut of them...

I constantly fight to stop the kids calling me by my name, and it doesn't help when staff call you by your name across classrooms or in busy corridors... It also doesn't help that they know I'm on the radio, so if they didn't already know it, they know because of that... I guess there are more important things to worry about though :¬)

I used to do it with a bit in the logon script, but can't remember for the life of me how... I'd really like to do it again! It was based on the machine name, so if machine name = lap* then log off... Really wish I'd brought it from my previous school!

If you use Nova-T4 with SIMS still that's not compatible with 64 bit... We've been using several for a while and the only issues we've had has been printer drivers, quite a lot of our smaller printer (that I'm trying to get shut of anyway) don't have drivers available for either Windows 7 at all, or just not 64 bit...

No, sadly not... You can add different Gmail accounts, so if all users had their own they could quickly re-install their apps, but it's definitely not the same as having different user accounts like on PCs...

I used Xibo which several people have recommended, but I don't think there was support for live TV at the time - not sure if that's changed now... We now have 2 OneLan boxes - ONELAN Digital Signage // Digital Signage Specialists, manufacturing Digital Signage Media Players, Complete Solution, Linux Based, Multi-zoned, Multi-media, Live TV, Transparency - and they work perfectly, all web-based, easy to get to grips with... Definitely recommendable :¬)

My first Android was the HTC Desire a while ago, and I'm on my third now... From the Desire I went to the SE Xperia Arc, and there were SO many things I missed about the HTC version of Android with Sense and other things, that I didn't keep it long, and went back to HTC with the Sensation... If you're sticking with Android and not going with the iClone, I'd definitely recommend sticking with HTC :¬)

It seems the driver wasn't installing correctly, running the installation again choosing Modify rather than repair / remove showed several options which had been disabled... How annoying! At least it's sorted...
