I hadn't enabled interactive logon rights.... Our test pupil acocunt can now login - cheers! The server is 2008 running our website and Exchange. Whilst it's in a secure room, I'm not sure how comfortable I am with allowing pupils logon access to the server. Is there an alternative to giving logon local rights to the pupils? Or am I just being overly cautious....!

I can login fine to HAP+ as an admin, but if I try as a pupil or member of staff I get the following error, I've tried changing to basic auth as suggested in another thread but this gives different errors!

Along with the fact that when they move rooms they do not have to take the PC, printer, monitor, etc with them as their new room already has them in..... with the same apps..... and network access........and access to their documents...... Back to the OP, it's a good question and I like Witch's suggestion of having staff/pupils sign to say they've read all policies

+1 for Vista. Now we have 7 Enterprise on EES we're on a mission to eliminate all traces of ME's devil child from our network! I'll add in secureassess, each time we come to do an online exam it seems to throw up errors. We fix the errors, pupils sit the exams, next round of exams come along, software is tested again (updates run if needed) and hey ho errors again, etc, etc.....

Still new to SCCM 2007, haven't tried 2012 yet but I'm hoping that deploying updates are easier! So tempted to go back to WSUS.....

Thanks for the info, looks like I can finally retire our old server as 1.7.x can install on 2008. Shame you have to do a clean install not upgrade/migrate though. Thankfully our SEN team are okay with running reports and re-inputting the data.

Are you having a problem with Vista or 7? If so have you had a look at How to configure a GPO to ensure that you can protect and manage computers with endpoint software I've found XP to be okay with auto-protecting but Vista and 7 a PITA

We've had the same issue here - You could check the history view, it's in menu > history, iirc Audacity holds all imported files there even if not used until such time as they are discarded

3GB, most are nowhere near that though. I also have quotas on the their faculty folders on the shared area. The reason I have strict quotas is I have more storage space than backup capacity.....

I had another productive phone call with Western Power this evening (if only all call centres were this helpful!). The guy on the phone delved deeper into their system and found out that in 2005 somebody damaged it (assume in a car) and logged an emergency call with them. The Western Power engineer that went out at the time reported back that it's a public lighting box, the guy I spoke to today confirmed these details with the local depot in Swansea and also got me a contact name in our council to speak to. Now to convince the council that it is their box.... And hope they don't quote a stupid price to move it.....

unfortunately the South Wales Electricity Board doesn't exist any more, and finding out who took over responsibility for this box is proving difficult! May do, depends on what I find when I open it up! Don't fancy playing with 240V The council gave a rough cost of £1000 over the phone and told me to write in formally requesting it be moved, which got me a reply back saying actually it isn't ours......

We have a mystery green box on the edge of our property which we wish to get moved or removed as it's blocking access to part of our parking, and I'm sure either the wife or I are going to hit it with our car soon! Western Power, the local council and Openreach all say it doesn't belong to them Has anyone here had any experience of getting one of these moved, or any ideas who else to try? I haven't yet opened the box to see what's in there, but as nobody wants to confess to owning it I will do soon as it appears there's nobody to tell me off for doing so! *edit* I should add that the box was here when we moved in last October, and I assume prior to the previous owners putting the parking area there.
