I'd say an internal dmz for simple shared devices like the appletv but I don't think thats possible as it still uses the non-routable bonjour like they toy it is. With a decent IP6 implementation this may be possible, I don't know if Apple have fixed their ip6 stack yet. The closest to a remotely secure way would be to have the ipads vpn internally to a dmz where the resources are, putting them on the same subnet and using the vpn system to screen out all but the required traffic.

Deadspace on console with surround sound is great, Deadspace 2 is alright but no where near as good, haven't bothered with three yet as they have gone all angry birds on it and they can keep it. Alan Wake is another good one and the original Bioshock is good too.

You'd want a rdp client on the ipad that supports passthrough multitouch and gestures for W8, I don't think one exists yet.

RemoteFX probably won't work via iPads or even android, from what I have seen their rdp clients are quite primative or quite expencive and are very unlikely to support it. You're probably good for everything but video, tablet clients are not that good. Should be fine for apps though.

Stay clear of the Nexus 7, the build quality is akin to Russian Roulette. Some work fine, apparently but lots don't as well, stick to a reputable manufacturer like Samsung or a non ASUS rebrand.

Setup this on a 2950 a while ago. Start with the Vlans, give them names, numbers and IPs I had: WiFiManage 50 Staff 51 Student 52 Guest 53 Chuck the controller onto a port that is untagged to 50 and tagged to 51,52,53. Setup a few more more ports like that for the APs and plug them in. I setup a DHCP scope on the server for the different VLANs, I went with 192.168.VLAN.1-254 I also setup DHCP helpers on each vlan interface to point to the DHCP server on the main network. Also setup routing on the switch and 'redistribute local' routes. You should then be able to power everything up and configure the controller. I think I set the wireless management vlan to 192.168.0.x as the controller defaulted to 192.168.0.1 or 2. I'll see if I can dig out a config.

They seemed fine, they were connecting over AN though at 150+, W7 had a built in driver that installed and worked for a couple of seconds, just enough for my initial build test. Found out later that it collapsed in a heap right after. Grabbed the drivers off the hp site at the time, about a year ago. Also found that installing the power management tools really helped as otherwise the fans were set a bit higher and the power saving was a bit squiffy, possibly something that could be messing with your wireless.
