  1. Hi Gareth That's great, pleased you've got that bit sorted I've had a look through the current version, and it and it doesn't seem easy/straightforward to change the start day of week, as it's assumed in several places to be Monday. Hopefully this shouldn't be too much of a problem if you choose the "One day at a time" Bookings display type option in the School Details page. If you use a multi-week timetable, you can probably be fine as well if you set up the Week Cycle as usual - just the dates on that configuration page will be the Monday of the week where your week starts on the Thursday (if that makes sense!) It's a great suggestion to bring up though. I will take this into consideration in the next version and make it configurable, thanks. Craig.
  2. Hi @Gareth_Shaw, thanks for checking out Classroombookings When it says unable to create image, I recall this could be down to two issues: 1) No correct permissions for the directories listed below. 2) The PHP GD extensions is not enabled or installed. The following directories need full write access by the web server/PHP user: webroot/images/roomphotos webroot/images/schoollogo webroot/images/bg system/cache temp Usually the "755" permission value is sufficient, but depending on the environment (sorry, I'm not familiar with the specifics of EC2) it may need 777. Can you check those two items please and then try saving the details again? Craig.
  3. It's still planned, but I'm afraid it's still not in yet.
  4. No problem! Sorry, I mean to just fill in the empty slots with one-off "EXAM" bookings - leaving the recurring ones as they are. The main goal was to prevent the booking of the room by other staff when exams are occurring - so it was sort-of less important what the actual booking label was - the main thing was that staff couldn't book it out.
  5. Hi @TomChabbs, thanks for posting the question! The short answer is, sadly, no The only suggestion I have is to either 1) delete the whole recurring series, and (re-)create those actual lessons as one-off bookings; or 2) leave the recurring ones as-is, and just create single "EXAM" bookings where relevant. I think at my last school it was a combination of the above, and teachers understood that during exam season there would be some disruption and alterations. It's not ideal, I know, but that's all there is at the moment - sorry!
  6. OK, that's fair enough What are the extra features you're looking for?
  7. PrintMaster is still "alive" and useable at its current version. I just have rather limited time to work on it to add new features. My advice would be to just try it and see if it works for you
  8. You can log things like that (and more!) with Fuelly
  9. I once had a sticky brake calliper which caused similar high speed wobble symptoms.
  10. I sort of disagree Part of the problem with people thinking Internet=Facebook is when they use the wrong terms but nobody corrects them. So they continue believing they are using the right words to refer to the right things.
  11. Yes I always use the correct term. Internet to refer to the infrastructure, and WWW to the service that runs over (or on) the internet - as does FTP, email, P2P, DNS. Video streaming, I would say it depends on how it's being accessed. If it's over HTTP/HTTPS then it's WWW, but if it's a proprietary protocol I'd say it wouldn't be WWW. Sometimes I may use the term 'online' to encompass anything internet -related or -connected or if I don't want to be specific about the WWW/Internet distinction
  12. PHP has some functions available for operating with IMAP, which also support some POP methods - PHP: Introduction - Manual
  13. Hi @Ephelyon, as promised! The following SQL query will report the number of single instance bookings made by users, ordered by the highest number of bookings made in the given date range. SELECT users.displayname AS `Teacher Name`, COUNT(bookings.booking_id) AS `Total Bookings` FROM bookings LEFT JOIN users ON bookings.user_id=users.user_id WHERE bookings.date IS NOT NULL AND bookings.date BETWEEN '2016-01-01' AND '2016-02-08' GROUP BY bookings.user_id ORDER BY `Total Bookings` DESC, users.username ASC You can change "displayname" to be any column from the users table - for example - username, firstname, lastname, or email - depending on which is more relevant for you. Change the two date values to be the start and end of the date range you are interested in. Hope that helps! Craig.
  14. Hi @Ephelyon, I do have those! None of them do exactly what your Deputy Head would like, but I'll see what I can come up with over lunch today
  15. Can't wait for the autotune remix. Oh Lord Jesus is a fire!
  16. Hey @timbo343, I'm afraid not, as it stands I have been looking at a quick/easy way of getting this into the current version, so watch this space.
  17. Shockingly saintly
  18. Lovely view @beaches511!
  19. Nice! Didn't know you were either Lovely weather we're having.

  22. I've done it too, I moved from a secondary into a small web development business. For me, it was further away at the time (but I moved closer) but more pay and doing something I enjoy more. Sometimes clients can be awkward, and it has its stressful moments, but all in all I am glad I made the move. However, I haven't had any pay increases since I started nearly 4 years ago. Job security is a risk, and should quite rightly be a concern... Things to help you consider how much of a risk for you, would be to look at your skills, the local job market, the company's credentials, and your financial/living circumstances.
  23. For a more lightweight web-based SQL interface, I recommend Adminer. I use it all the time for the majority of SQL work, but for other things I use HeidiSQL.
  24. Hi Bev It was my intention that this could later be used in multiple places (e.g. for rooms), but for now it is just to assign users to. This is really only useful if you want to run reports against bookings to break down by department. There isn't any built in reporting features, but I do have a handful of useful SQL queries, one of which, I think, uses departments. So the short version is it's not really that useful at the moment, but it was planned to be! Craig.
  25. To build upon what zag has said (and he is right!), actions like this shouldn't really be plain links. URLs that change things (like adding, updating and deleting) should generally be accessed via POST (instead of GET). It would be easy enough to create a form to replace the delete link in each row, like this: </pre><form action="delete.php" method="post" onsubmit="javascript:return confirm('Are you SURE you wish to do this?');"> < In delete.php, you can get the ID like this: $id = (int) $_POST['id'];
