Just to let people know this works: 1. Select less than 15 files in Windows Explorer 2. Click print button at top of window Now you see it Now you don't What foxed me was that if you try to select more than 15 the PRINT button just disappears. There is no error message or anything. You just have to select you files to print in batches of 15 or less.

Why is there no iOS section? PDA's are prehistoric!!

Was trying to sync Zimbra 8 with the Native Mail client in OS X. Can't do it....Even though iOS can use ActiveSync. (not Link2ICT's fault this time) Although if they updated from Zimbra 8 to 8.5 you could use Exchange Web Services. Found the Answer here https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5560159 Zimbra 8.5 adds support for Exchange Web Services. I assume there are no plans to upgrade Zimbra 8 to 8.5? I thought they were moving everyone over to O365 as they Stopped half way through migrating schools from Zimbra 5 to 8. I thought they abandoned the migration as it wasn't worth the pain if schools were to be soon using O365 anyway.

Any reports from the conference yet? Was interested in the latest on Office 365 via Link2ICT.

For laptops custom builds are less popular. Need to buy 10-15 teacher laptops and want to future proof them as much a possible without breaking the budget. I swallow the marketing bumph? I'm vain? More aesthetically pleasing? Better Thermal flow therefore longer life (myth?)? I have previously bought 60 Lenovo desktops's and added more RAM myself before. Pretty laborious and had to remove RAM from half of them to avoid mixing brands of RAM. Was just making the comment not really looking for solutions. Would have thought that 8GB is the minimum these days even just to future proof my investment. Can't see a 4GB machine lasting 5 yrs without being upgraded.

@Griff decided against chromecast for now as even if I can get it to work with a proxy there is the issue of authentication as any device on the subnet can cast to the screen without a password. Why is it that Misco and BTBusiness Direct still flog mainly 4GB machines and anything over 4GB costs loads more? I know Windows is not hogging more RAM with every iteration anymore but I like to keep 30 tabs open at once and hate the slowdown when windows has to page memory to a HDD. I prefer to buy big name desktops not custom builds. Perhaps I should look again at them.

Bought one in haste last night (£30 not gonna break the bank). Found out this morning it won't work behind a proxy could root it and see if i can set/export the http_proxy variable. Didn't get chance to see how well the google slides presenter feature works. Will test this from an unproxied connection at home. Does anyone know if it is possible to add a transparent proxy behind a regular http_proxy (LEA connection is BGfL running symantec web gateway) can I add second layer of NAT behind NAT'ed router to fool chromecast into connecting out to the internet via a the LEA connection????? Was thinking of using google drive presentation as a poor man's digital signage with chromecast. Was going to host a VM to drive the chromecast. I'm not sure but as I think chromecast works by sending the instruction via google's cloud to open the presentation and render it locally therefore no screen mirroring or streaming required. Not sure how it handles animations. Could be that google's implementation of presentations keeps animations to a minimum anyway so it can be rendered in browsers reliably. Would have thought that mDNS traffic is for discovery only and therefore not a huge bandwidth hog as long as you are not using tab mirroring. Streaming video from a supported service would I presume use a similar amount of bandwidth as streaming from a computer.

what is the path to the temp folder? On the the source (creator) or destination (whiteboard/consumer) PC?

They cost in the region of £15-20K and use capacitive (like iPad) rather than infrared. Also the LCD and touch layer are closely bonded to avoid parallax issues.

The Lock n Charge has removable baskets that hold 5 tablets that are stored and charged in the trolley. For DIY charging they also do a 15 usb port charging box which will charge iPads at full rate (faster than standard USB port)

Android apps on Chrome OS W00t! Wonder how/if this could be controlled with google apps for domains setup. They're not allowing full access to google play AFAIK but existing nonetheless.

Thin clients have no advantages in a primary IMHO unless you want users to access a school desktop and apps from home or use a iPad as a thin client.

Agree with these choices. CleverTouch will have to pull something very special out of the bag to get my custom back! Just add a n Apple TV with the new iOS 8 peer-to-peer airplay feature and your sorted!
