Sorry if it seems like I'm giving really simple advice here but from our latest technician mistakes a few really simple things would help him do more than printers etc. 1. Seem interested. 2. Make notes, people don't mind showing you a few times but there gets a point where it gets silly. 3. Read error messages, sounds Silly but our tech was stuck for 30 mins trying to setup server 2008 r2 at the password page. He didn't read the bit about needing a secure password that was displayed every time he typed in a too simple one. 4. Learn to google, it's every techs friend. Unfortunately I can't say how you can get this wrong but he manages it. 5. Check the simple things, things like checking both ends of a cable and if there's a red error button, press it. Never done any server training or anything. Just learnt from setting up my own servers before getting my job. Defiantly recommend this, you don't get any papers but it gives you the confidence and knowledge to talk about the different roles in the server. You should have some time in your job to improve your skills, ask to do this in that time. If you ask actually do it though and use guides on the net, our techy asked. I then spent a hour getting a server out and all the software etc and it's still sat there. This is what I did to get onto the servers within a week. Try and find something that the network could benefit from, research into it so you know how to do it. Explain to them how to do it and probably the first few times they will sit you down and you'll have to tell the other tech how to do it. It seems a waste of your your time but in my case they just said go for it after a few times as they then knew I wouldn't do something very stupid. If they trust you they will let you do more, I don't trust our techy becease of the points above so until his contract expires unless something changes he's not getting on the servers.

After playing payday 2 on pc and bf4 on ps3 I have to say I think I prefer ps3 for racing games and pc for shooters. You get used to the controls but you do do a bit of aiming wiggle (to Far either way). That means a new PC for me next month for web it's released.

Yeah I've read somewhere that both the ps4 and one will charge for online. (might have been here but signal is terrible so can't go back pages). Just did the Argos offer ps3, gta5, last of us for £199. Need something to do in my time off now. PC will come next. Gotta try and find the car now. Can't remember what street and in what direction it's in so trying to remember where I walked. 30 mins left on the ticket.

They have boilers at work. I've tried both and seem the same but they still use the kettle. Think it's more about so they can have a sit down . Also the boilers only get emptied once every half term if they remember so you only what to drink from them then.

Looks like that would be why they stopped them. We've got the breville version at home but it's rubbish as it has one dose of water and no topup option so your left with half a cup. Apparently there a new version soon. Will have to see what they do with it.

Just had a look for the Tefal quick cup and it no longer exists. There a non instant one but quicker than a normal kettle by breville but preferred the Tefal with the top up option. Where my kettle Tefal.

Got the logitech g25 steering wheel which isn't compatible with Xbox. Racing with a controller does nothing for me. Also costs to go online. both the 360 and ps3 had issues when they first came out so would wait anyway I think. 840 Evo is apparently between standard and pro. Speed closer to the pro but cheaper as it uses the 840 standard flash tech.

Friends just built a new PC with the i5 and a gtx graphics Says it can handle bf4. Still bit laggy apparently in cars so hopefully that's just because it's in beta. Got so much stuff I want to buy and not sure which order to get them in over the next year or ten. Looking about £480 for I5 4670k 2x2gb ram (to start) Gigabyte z87 mobo Samsung ssd 250. Graphics card can be for the next month. Will have to wait till the end of the month that's my entire bank funds at the min after paying of the car lol.

I have though of getting a new ssd. Since putting this HDD in it has slowed web loading. Also going to try it with windows 8 so Moght as well try one. Not going to loose anything a I still would need to get one. Cant remember which was the best 250gb now. Will do a bit of research again. Think it was the Samsung 840 250 (non pro)

Should work from home lots so I can move my works desktop home. I5 and 4gb ram. Rubbish when you think it's sat there 80% of the time either with nobody in front of it or me there doing emails etc. Especially for the next week and a half when I'm not there.

No gran Turismo on either . Just sold the Xbox as I'm not paying half my wages to play online. Think it will be ps3 but I have to decide if I want PC to.

After 7 years of owning my gaming computer I've finally gotta let her go . Battlefield 4 is just too much for her. Payday 2 and TDU 2 was the last games it could play. Now to decide ps3 or PC.

. Lol, exe your character get taken over and start hovering around. Building get haunted. Theres also a global ghost hunt that says how many total ghosts have been popped and you get rewards if we all get so many. This game needed something like this again

Turn the brightness up on your screen or feel the pain of eye strain. Apart from that alls good. Got the first building underway. I think they could do with another thing like the snakes which adds a bit more multi player ish.

Hi, Just installed Spiceworks to monitor printers. The problem i have is Ricoh has decided that under 20% their printer return 'some remaining' instead of a number. Another it 40% then 'some remaining' Spiceworks doesnt like this as its not a number and doesnt return a error. Would like it to email us when it reaches 10% so we can drop another in ready for them to change. I've seen Ricoh do their own software but theres no email settings and it would get confusing just seeing a list of printers with low toners. Any ideas how to make spiceworks deal with this or another app to do the job? Thanks
