    Hi, We have some laptops that refuse to pickup the USB drivers from when deployed using MDT. My next idea is to set a the network path of the deployment folder into the registry to get winodws to search for drivers there. If i copy the USB drivers frolder from the MDT folder to the C drive and add C:\USB to the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\devicepath it picks it up but if i use the share \\server\deploy$\out-of-box drivers I have no luck. I believe its either because of the space or because of permissions. I have temp added everone to the sevurity of the folder but had no joy. Any ideas?

    Feel your pain. We had some people move in at the end of the road where everyone parks. We started having damaged caused to cars as he didn't like people parking there. Had the police out several times but as nobody watched him do it nothing could be done. The only way is cameras which is really hard to setup if your flat doesn't overlook the space. Try not to retaliate. I thought about it but knowing y luck, as I was doing it a copper would walk round the corner.

    Yeah. Would defiantly be leaving it in. There are some good looking models with screens but you would have to take these out at night so I'm avoiding these. The Blackvue was large but it doesn't standout as much as something like a tomtom would. There are apps for the iPhone but again you would have to install and aligns very time you get in. Have watched a video of the road hawk at speed and it is better than the blackvue at speed but you still cannot read motorway signs. I believe there is a higher fps mode at a lower quality not sure if this would help.

    Excellent. The server at the other sites are just file server and arnt domain controllers. Would they need to be promoted?

    Hi, Our school is based over five sites linked in over a WAN. Currently its setup how the previous guy left it with one domain and one site (still named default-first-site-name). I have setup DFS-R to replicate all data in a few of our admin folder (apps etc) and would now like to setup a domain namespace. I have done this but where all computers are in the same site it will go to any of the five servers in the site to access the data rather than the one on site. So by reading a little it looks like AD sites is what i need. Problem is i've not done this one before. I will be trying it out on a demo network. When i add new sites, will: Users still be able to lgoin at any site? Group policies still apply to all sites? i have a single active directory for all sites? Also any other tips or issues to watch out for would be appreciated. Thanks

    Hi. Roads round my way are just getting dangerous at the minute. Just drove home from work and stopped at the light. Van was up front then a BMW and then me. The lights turned to green but there was a elderly guy still crossing in front of the van. The BMW driver then decided to wheel spin round the van and shoot up the road. And Jeremy Clarkson said that co**s had left BMWs I had a Blackvue dr500gw but if you went over 50mph you couldn't even read the massive motorway signs. I emailed them and they said this was normal so It went back as not fit for purpose. The other two that I've seen are the fine he cr-500hd and roadhawk HD. Has anyone had any experience with these or others? They need to have gps. Thanks

    Hi, We are moving away from Edexcel as we find their software terrible. Lately it has stopped working altogether and they say we should install flash 10.2. I basically told them that they had no chance in me installing a flash player from 2011/early 2012. We are now looking at other exam boards that do fully online functional skills exams. OCR looks good but just wondering if anyone has any experience with their software and could give your views.

    Goto make the plugins whatever this means and get loads of errors. Starts with error 'gets' undeclared here half way thought running make. See what I mean about Linux. Had 0 problems with windows.

    Yeah it has it's plus point. But I use the Thinking, could my nan do this. If not, its too hard and will never make it into homes. Try explaining the text conf files to her. If you ever follow a guide most of he time I find they never work as software has changed ornis no longer supported and there isn't a updates guide. Take Nagios. The latest guide on their site about he core goes back to Ubuntu 6.10 so I'm expecting this not to work. Different topic though. Windows vs Linux, have had a argument at work about this and Windows won hand down with me on its side. Will give it ago though

    Or do that Will give it a go, Not too keen on Linux. Believe they make stuff to difficult.

    Still need to give nagios a go. Don't like it being on Linux though. It wastes a machine and screen somewhere. At least with the dude you can install it onto your workstation. Have noticed that when dfsr replicates from the main server account a 10mb connection, the main server kickss data out at 200 odd Mbps. The switches must do the flow control.

    Looks like the screensaver thing doesn't work in server 2012. Could be a security option somewhere not allowing you to run it but havnt looked. Worked ok in win 7. Just adding in the eight server now. One really usefull this I like is the links that show data between our main deployment server and the other servers. They use dfsr so will be goof to show when the copying has finished.

    Will be good if it works. Ive setup my first 2012 server today and virtual win8 machines to try out incase we are ever asked. As we are running out of space I wanted to use it with the dude but didn't want anyone else logging in and playing with my system so setting as a screensaver gets round this.

    Hi. http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=15184 That's the only thing about it I could find so don't think its a official feature. I'm guessing you would need a dude.exe for editing and dude,scr for the screensaver.

    Just read that you can use The Dude as a screensaver. Looks like you just copy the files to system32 and rename dude.exe to .scr Ive tested as far as renaming to .scr and opening it up but havnt tried setting as a scrren saver and trying it that way.

    Tried out the dude today and looks fairly decent. It was Zabbix I tried before and have to say unless you know your Linux like the edugeek roundup says its difficult. Gave up on it in the end. The dude requires snmp which you have to ensure you set it up securely. It looks like you can add more tests to The Dude but requires a bit of knowledge in something. Havnt worked out what code it uses just yet.

    5:35 on a Sunday night and I got a text saying as they don't receive cables with Nokia phones how do you setup work emails on them. Looks like I will be flicking the SMS switch too on iblacklist. Auto reply setup "Auto reply - I am not currently in the office at the minute. Please use report a fault if you have a issue and another technician should pick it up. Thanks"

    Would feel forced to stay in the current job but for me if a Traffic Police (don't boo) or a police dog handler (only gets offered to existing police from what ive read) job then I would say I'm going. Depends on how bad your current job really is.

    Hi, I'm always in Impero so thinking about adding the server into it to save using remote desktop. Does anyone here install the client version on the servers. Would you be worried to do so? Thanks
