Was just looking at Ustream as then it would only require one upload of the video and then everyone downloads of their servers rather than the laptop uploading the same content to multiple computers. It has to be free as there is no money as usual.

Hi, Weve got setup at one of our sites a bird box with a camera in. Weve now got 10 eggs that are hatching. The camera uses the old RCA connection which we brought a tv tuner card for (Compro C200 Pro) so they can record. What i think would be good now is a live stream on our VLE so everyone can take a look. Any ideas how i could set this up? Wouldnt know where to start and google doesnt seem much help on this one. Iblacklist also. It's seems to work with contact groups and everything. Bit clunky sometimes but it does the job. And has all the schedulers etc. Looks like the block calls option wins. Have now denied all calls apart from the managers phone. They just get the busy tone. Same with unknown numbers. I would like to think they would unplug something smoking but I couldn't guarantee that one

Said to my manager jokingly that I was going to do it one time. Think blacklisting calls on a schedule is the nearest thing. Don't want to carry two phones around with me and it's also a free iPhone with free texts, not that I send many these days.

Hi, We get given phones at our work which we can either sign to say they will be work only or you will be using them for personal calls as well which we pay for. I have chosen the second option to allow me to us it as a personal phone also. Every so often (happening more often these days) I get calls way out side of working hours, 2 1/2 hours outside sometimes from staff. If I choose not to answer they just keep trying until I get so annoyed I answer. I've had to disable voicemail because of this as the OCD bit in me can't have a 1 next to the phone symbol and if I do listen I then can't stop thinking about the issue until the morning ruining my evening (hate to admit but this isn't a exaggeration either) I don't mind answering calls from my manager and his manager as I know they will be urgent if they ever call but calls from staff are always things that can wait or should be put on the fault database. I have just downloaded a blacklisting app for my phone that I can choose what contact groups I want to receive calls from and when. To me this seems acceptable as after my hours finish it is for personal calls. Does this sound ok to everyone else? Who wouldn't you block?

If my manager came on here I would say you were him. Complete waste of my time when I could be working on one of the eight server that I seem to have taken over. Luckily the new temp tech still wants to impress so he did it. My WE was ok, started of just following him around and then got told, here's a blank server install, configure, and design a moodle VLE. Learnt a lot from it as it gets you into AD An other server rolls.

I do two things. First as mentioned use a menu, i used step 2 of this to figure it out, deployvista.com > Home - Deploying Ubuntu 8.04.1 using WDS (Windows Deployment Services) (Works for 2008r2 and win 7) and the second thing is deny pupil account access to the MDT folder using the normal folder permissions. If they then get past the menu and login to MDT they dont have any windows options so cant continue.

We have just got a new 15hour a week tech. I know its a bit more that 7.5 but its still hard to manage. He does 3 days a week. THe problem you get is you cant save jobs for them as users would be waiting days to get anything fixed. At the moment we got him on a maintenance schedule that once a month he goes round all the machines, switches them on and checks mice/keyboards etc are working, does the projector filtes, and general stuff like that. You do need to make sure they arrive early enough to do bit and pieces before staff get it. Our temp techy started getting in at 9-9:30 which was useless. It does tend to turn into a more maintenance job rather than actually helping you with fixes. As people have said though, there are plans to increase his hours in the future depending if our idea gets the go ahead..

. Have to say I miss my petrol 1.1 engine as it sounded fun. You could rev the nuts of it and still not go over the speed limit. Every overtake was a mission. 1.9d with 130bhp means you never need to rev it to get anywhere, diesels turned me into a old fart driver as it rarely goes over 3k revs. Will be 165bhp soon but should increase the mpg further when you don't boot it. http://www.fuelly.com/driver/dcuk6/fabia-vrs

Another nice feature is you can search for car make and models and find out their mpg. Our other techs rx8 gets the same mpg as a Nissan gtr. About 10-15mpg.

Yep. Have been using it for a while too. 55MPG on the motorway from my 1.9d car . Theres 5 mpg difference between driving in the winter an summer.

Hi, We have 16 laptops that we are trying to get them to connect to the wireless. So far i have a script that runs a xml file containing the password. I've also setup a GPO to tell it to connect to our wireless. All this and they still dont seem to want to connect every time. I've tried the thing where you make netlogon dependant on the wireless but this didnt seem to do anything. Any ideas? Thanks Edit, it would seem the GPO wireless policy stops the script from working and therefore doesnt ad the password. Without the GPO it doesnt connect autmatically however
