So far I have a cat, a parrot and a worm

We've got Lenovo Yogas and they do very well. They are small, but not too small (my Samsung netbooks are still going - all deployed out as one-to-one devices) and of course they are touch screen, and fold to be used as a tablet. That last...hmmm.. many teachers said they wanted tablets for the children. I held out for laptops. I am not sure I have EVER seen them used as tablets but they are used every day as normal laptops. I'm sure there are cheaper options out theer as well

Is this still the case or has it been sorted now?
-
Yes, my daughter has one and I watched it nuke any and all tough veggies every morning!

The Nutribullet is the one that most people I know have. But there are cheaper versions that are just as good - my friend has a Salter NutriPro that she loves

Please could anyone pick up any soft toy or plastic animals and give them in to the Edugeek stand to be kept for me for Friday? Ta

Havent been able to exercise for a couple of weeks due to a pain in my arm which is being investigated Hate it I eventually got a set of weights for my birthday back last July - the adjustable sort - and i have been very happily using them since. Docs appt on Thurs hopefully if poss so i can sort things out

Not at all accurate- they never met in reality! Two weeks running there has been nothing I want to see which is frustrating when you get free tickets! Might go and see Escape Room on Sat if I have recovered from BETT on Friday! Your comment about getting your history is EXACTLY the reason why I dont like historical films or films based on real events. They are ALWAYS economical with the actual facts and people come away thinking that what they saw is the truth...

Have you updated the firmware? Might be worth a go

As long as I get back to catch the last train..10.35 from Waterloo
-
So...finally wangled the train fare this year - first time in years - I'd better come back with some shiny shiny ideas for Primary Someone give me some ideas! I'm only at BETT for one day and I want to see my friends rather than waste time wandering about aimlessly

Happy to take people out Friday - as long as @john leads! I will miss you too, @GrumbleDook
-
Looks like it will just be Friday for me. A lot of people coming that day it seems
-
No @Zoom7000 sadly not. @AJWhite1970 Don't you mean hug THE witch ??
-
Having finally wrangled the fare out of the HT, I will be there on Friday

Ah - didnt notice - one is Clangers and one is Button Moon

Ah - I see That's The Clangers, not Button Moon

Er - really? It came out in 1973. I was barely a teenager and you are younger than me!

No - missed that

I agree - apart from the schmaltzy bit at the end. It was fun and I loved the whole internet thing

Yes, that's true and I am sure that many may have something good to say - but I am mentally scarred by what happened a few years ago when speakers on the Google stand, right opposite Edugeek, stood there and said that teachers needed all this fancy IT stuff and Network Managers were blockers, and often didnt want to do anything that required them to do some work Yes, the speaker didnt just imply that, he really said it Teachers, not being technical in the most part (and indeed, why should they be?) hear about all this new tech and how simple it is and as nobody has offered any caveats about how to implement all this and the costs incurred, think that it is a simple matter and us in IT get it in the neck for not bringing in all this new stuff. Maybe there will be a reality check - maybe not
