  1. Thanks for that - any others gratefully received too as it seems our local power cuts are vicious - and quite often, too!
  2. The Grinch Was OK - he is a bit too nice in this one though
  3. A power cut over the weekend took out two of our POE injectors. We are lucky really, last time it took out five! I wondered if anyone has any sitting around doing nothing which they could send to me. The ones I have are pretty standard, I think - they happen to be Phihong but other makes are available, I'm sure! We have no money and I would be unendingly grateful
  4. I don't think he would ever have actually said that and I have heard that joke attributed to all sorts of pilots over the years Funny though
  5. They can - but a) it wasn't and b) It isn't really what Doctor Who is about afaic For goodness sake, even the scary looking aliens had renounced violence and were now "witnessing" those who died alone. She is still far too volatile and over excited most of the time
  6. Please can you, and others, stick to the original topic and not take the thread right away from the original question which was about OVS renewal. You are very welcome to start another thread about Microsoft's offereing if you wish
  7. Yep. We are Office 365 but the children do not have their own accounts
  8. I thought that was a survey tool?
  9. If they had their own account there wouldnt be a problem. They don't How do you compress a powerpoint all at once? If you have to do each image - i cant see parents wanting to bother with that (or be capable of it, in some cases)
  10. Not sure if this belongs here but as it is vaguely Office 365 related... We block all non-encrypted USB sticks and have set up an Office 365 account for students to email in their work. However, some work - powerpoints usually - are too big for this - and I am wondering what to do. They could have access to the one drive associated with the email account and put stuff there, but they would be able to see other people's work and possibly delete it What solutions do you have for this?
  11. An earlier version then?
  12. Huewei P20 Very nice camera - robust phone I have an earlier, cheaper version and I am very happy with it
  13. She's SO mannered and over the top - I can't see me sticking with it if the rest of it is like that
  14. I bet you were a real rebel and wore Tuesday's socks on Wednesday, didn't you?
  15. That's the new version - I prefer the original
  16. He's already got all that. He runs a local facebook group - DASVAG (dorset and south Volkswagen Audi Group) Good idea though
  17. Thanks guys Interesting idea about the experience package for middle son. As for what he is into - err - he does climbing - and goes out a lot! Practical and pampering sounds good for daughter. I'll speak to her partner to see if she has mentioned anything to him. Eldest son doesnt wear VW clothing anymore - he used to - but at 30 I think he thinks he has grown out of all that. I was going to buy a transfer for the van - I've seen ones that look like peeled back metal or whatever but when I mentioned it, he sneered a bit As for mrwITch - hmm - anyone know of any good science type books out this year?
  18. Stumped for presents this year. I normally do pretty well just by listening to everyone over the year but as the children have all left home now and mrwITch doesnt really speak much, I am bereft of ideas Trying to think of an experience for mrwITch. Bought him a flight in a microlight for his birthday which he loved, but when asked if he wanted an actual lesson in one - having said he was keen to learn - his answer was "not really bothered" which is his go-to answer for EVERYTHING!!! 30yr old son is doing up a VW T5 but wants to get bits himself - and I like to give presents rather than money at Christmas 28yr old son has the same amount of disposable income as we do and so can buy anything he wants really. Trying to think of an experience that he would enjoy 26yr old daughter has just bought a house with her partner. Wanted to pamper her a bit as they are working very hard in the house. But she isnt really very girly so that isnt going to work well TBF I am not any easier to buy for. Although any sort of experience would go down well, except driving a tank (claustrophobia)
  19. Got mine too...just a little big for me - hmmm. No smaller sizes? No women in IT then? They are going into my son's Christmas stocking and I am sure he will love them. Thanks
  20. Sabrina on Netflix Very dark - witches are Satanists apparently
  21. Hunter Killer I didnt expect to enjoy it but I did! It had some tense moments, and if you ignore the plot holes, the storyline is good too. Listening to Gerard Butler, Gary Oldman et al doing US accents quite amusing too...
  22. All dates work for me at the moment Does @Oaktech want to host?
