Logicall have been really good at previous places I've worked. Logi-call But I've also done it myself a couple of times using Aastra phones and freePBX.

This was offered to one place I worked as a solution during a server refresh... I politely asked them to stop being stupid and to quote for repurposing one of our outgoing servers with a stack of disks instead, because we could use standard WD red in that server rather than EMC's (i can only assume based on the price) gold plated disks it was actually cheaper.

I have an RDP server with RDP gateway on it. This means people who need special programs (like finance) can just connect to their PC via the gateway, but everyone else just uses the RDP server with a general use set of apps on it. I also have a direct access solution in place for a number of our more tech savvy users who run 8.1 portable devices.

We aren't part of the MAT yet, not until April... But we've already been told that there will be no more additional resource budget. Training, CPD and SIP are the only things that will have more money under the MAT.

We didn't go through the framework directly, these were the prices they offered us as being their 'public sector' prices and when they came out 10-15% cheaper on hardware costs and offered us virtually free print management it became an offer no one else could get close to.

We've got 2x 5200 series, a 7200 series and a 250 series, and an install of Uniflow contracted directly with Canon UK and I can't fault them. They've been very reliable - in a year we've had 2 call outs, both have been indirectly caused by user error. The contract is reasonable and Canon beat all of the other options hands down!

I'm not going to lie, it IS quite expensive, but it is seriously feature rich, both as a firewall and as a filtering appliance, and your options are quite limited if you don't want to hobble a very fast connection. The Palo 3000 series and above are one of the few solutions that will inspect at wirespeed at 500-1kmbps.

I'd like to stick my head above the parapet and recommend Palo-Alto.

We had Gigler, who are a subsidiary, at my last place and we had full gig both ways was absolutely magic! The service was excellent, the price was excellent, I can't really fault them.

Quite... Friend of mine caught the front nearside of his car on a bollard, it a 3 yr old BMW, he's nearly 40 and has been driving since 17, it was an honest mistake. His insurance initially refused to pay out because the manufacturer build sheet for the car did not mention the xenon gas headlights which were a dealer fit option and as he'd cracked a headlight unit would have to be replaced. He ended up having to get BMW UK to write his insurer a letter explaining it was actually a manufacturer fitment as they were claiming it as an 'undeclared upgrade'. To stay on topic, firstly, call your insurer, most of them now will take a named driver no claims discount, but you might have to stay with the same insurer for a year, maybe more. Secondly, start looking at other cars. I did this exercise with my god son earlier in the year and found it was cheaper to buy and insure an 02 plate 2 litre vectra estate than the S reg 1.2 litre clio he was going to get from his auntie. I would always suggest against the black box unless the driver is super duper careful, no-one i've met has had good experiences with them.
