  1. Anybody using sign in app with Wonde integration & Bromcom? We've managed to sort the students into year groups instead of just "Students" ( i think sign in app did this). But we need to do something similar for Staff. Mainly Teaching/Non-Teaching. This is mainly because the staff members have different evacuation points and we want the groups to sync with the Sign in app central record. Anybody managed to do this? Thanks
  2. We had a similar issue here. We backed up the machine with the "free" version of veeam for windows, then just did a inplace upgrade to Windows 11 LTS. EDIT: although can't remember if we went w10 1809 ltsc to W11 or w10 2021 ltsc to w11 as we had both versioni on site at the time.
  3. That's great thanks i'll take a look
  4. How does the shared account work in Bromcom? Anybody using this?
  5. The oldies (as in the people of our vintage) tend to go to the later opening times of the adult only admittance. But yes....as we die off, the younger generation wont be interested in this type of stuff....... i'm from the Sega Master System and Mega Drive Generation.... i have no interest in Atari console as it was a little before my time....... same thing i guess...... Also i'm sure you've seen the cabs i've built before:
  6. Again thanks for this..... i seems that if you have "shared evacuations" enabled, the "evac list" doesn't appear at the top of the screen.
  7. ah ok. I'm currently a admin user..... so might not have that as standard. Thanks
  8. Can you provide a screenshot or anymore info please?
  9. ah that's a shame
  10. Hi all, One for those using signInApp or anybody that know the system.... Is there a way for SignInApp to print the evac registers similar to how Inventry did as well as (or instead of) using the apps. We have been asked to check if it supports "offline" paper registers in the event that the technology isn't available for whatever reason, no wifi/data/Staff don't want to install the app! Our current fire evac policy requires the use of the evac reports printed from Inventry. Whilst i understand that we should be using the apps.... we might not be able to as our evac points are also in the middle of the fields with no WIFi there and poor data coverage. cheers all
  11. It doesn't seem to be causing any issues, just not what i was expecting nor do i understand it.
  12. The windows devices use their internal IP. also found this: https://community.ui.com/questions/Chromebook-address-leakage-100-115-x-x/c5ac304f-f52e-43eb-8a74-9be7afb3b303
  13. Currently trialing Securly, and just switched to the Extension method which works better and has more features. We're not having any filtering issues as such now.....just a visual annoyance. cheers
  14. We're experiencing issues with our web filter blocking traffic from Chromebooks. The filter is identifying the source IP as 100.115.x.x, which I believe is related to the Android Runtime for Chrome OS (ARC). This range seems to be used for internal communication between the Android VM/sandbox and the Chromebook's host system. Consequently, the web filter isn't seeing the actual DHCP-assigned IP address of the Chromebook, which is necessary for our filtering policies to work correctly. We previously used Android apps on our Chromebooks, which required ARC to be enabled. However, we no longer use those apps, and ARC is now disabled. Despite this, the 100.115.x.x IP range is still appearing in our network traffic. So i'm somewhat confused.
  15. As above please..... lots of us using ChromeOS and chromebooks now ta
  16. Hey everyone, I'm encountering a persistent issue with my Chromebook and I'm hoping someone here might have some insight. I've noticed that my Chromebook is generating IP addresses in the 100.115.x.x range. After some research, I've determined that these IPs are associated with ARC (Android Runtime for Chrome), which handles Android app compatibility. I've disabled Android apps and the Google Play Store on my Chromebook. I've gone into settings and turned off the "Google Play Store" option, and I've even restarted the device multiple times. Despite this, I'm still seeing these 100.115.x.x IPs when I check my network configuration. I've tried the following: Disabling the Google Play Store through settings. Restarting my Chromebook. Checking for and installing any available Chrome OS updates. Power washed the Chromebook None of these actions have resolved the issue. The 100.115.x.x IPs continue to appear. I understand that ARC is responsible for these addresses, but I'm unsure why they're still present after disabling Android app functionality. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to completely remove or disable ARC and prevent these IPs from appearing? Any help would be greatly appreciated. The odd thing is.... when i go on the chromebook and type chrome://Policy i can see that ARC is disabled! NOTE to ADMINS: Any chance we could have a Chromebook/ChromeOS subsection in the main OS section of the forum please? Thanks in advance!
  17. https://www.helpwire.app/remote-control/ i've got my eye on this. just waiting for some of the stuff to become available on their road map
  18. Got the Chromebook (Chrome OS) extension working. Thought this would just be the same extension for Chrome browser also (On windows). I can't seem to get installed on the Windows Chrome Browser..... can't see anything even if pinned, isn't filtering.... Officially the guide says to install the browser extension via GPO. Which i thought it was odd as you can just do it via the Google Admin Control panel...... How are you guys deploying the extension across windows (with chrome) and ChromeOS? I'll book a ticket with the onboarding team tomorrow..... sometimes you guys are quicker to respond! cheers
  19. This is getting beyond a joke now..... Are there any civica agents on here? My emails below to support along with the booked jobs by the kitchen staff. ------------------- The till system continues to experience significant problems, causing it to fail and disrupt customer service. Today, it is incorrectly charging customers, such as charging £1 for a £0.75 drink. I have received no response to my previous email regarding these issues. We need an on-site technician for at least two days as it was fine yesterday. Saying 'it seems to be working now' does not address the underlying problems. Regards --------------------------- Hi Civica Support Just want to follow up on the issues detailed in my previous email regarding the kitchen system, I have yet to receive any response or update, and the situation is now becoming critical. As you know, we are experiencing significant operational disruptions following the implementation of the new tills over the Feb half term. Our kitchen staff have been working tirelessly to resolve these issues with your remote support agent. However, they report feeling as though they are going in circles and making no tangible progress. The system is now operating in a manner completely different from its established functionality over the past few years. This change is having a direct and negative impact on the day-to-day running of the canteen. Specifically: Operational Delays: The altered system is causing significant delays in food service, leading to longer wait times for students and staff. Staff Morale: The constant frustration and lack of resolution are severely impacting the mental health and morale of our kitchen staff. Inconsistency: The system's current behavior is inconsistent and unpredictable, making it difficult for staff to plan and execute their tasks effectively. Despite the remote agent's efforts, we are repeatedly being told "that's how it should work." This is unacceptable, as the system functioned differently prior to the new till implementation. The fact remains that the system has changed, and it is hindering our ability to operate efficiently. We urgently require a comprehensive update and a clear plan of action to resolve these issues. Please provide us with: An explanation of why the system's functionality has changed. A timeline for a permanent resolution. Details of any interim solutions that can be implemented to mitigate the current disruptions. This situation is having a serious impact on our operations and staff well-being, and we need immediate assistance. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. Sincerely, ------------------- Hi Civica Support We are experiencing a persistent issue with the newly installed till system, which has been ongoing since implementation. This is negatively impacting daily operations and incurring unforeseen costs. Our understanding was that the installation involved only new hardware, with no changes to the existing software functionality. However, the current issue appears to be a software-related problem or glitch introduced with the new tills. Furthermore, we require an estimated timeline for the migration to the new cloud-based platform, specifically concerning the integration of Bromcom functionality. This information is crucial for our planning purposes. The kitchen staff has logged support tickets for the till issues: C00038023 & C00039700. Please provide an update on both the till system issue and the cloud migration timeline at your earliest convenience. Kindest regards,
  20. What app locker rules did you add the disable use of the apps? cheers
  21. I think this is where the limit lays, kitchen staff report that before the new tills, they were able to lend money (very small amounts in pence) to students. I don't use the tills day to day, but isn't that the whole point of a lend button? What behaviour are you guys seeing? The thing is though.... it works for some and not others, so there's deffo an issue.
  22. Ah ok...but should it or is the correct behaviour is restrict the kitchen staff also?
  23. Hi all, we're having an issue with our new Civica tills. Despite multiple support tickets. we've received slow support response and just wondered if there's anything we could do ourselves. Since installing these Civica-branded tills (replacing our third-party units, with no other system changes), our kitchen staff can no longer 'lend' students small amounts by overriding their allowance. While their staff PIN is accepted, the system now returns a 'limit exceeded' error, preventing the transaction. This functionality worked correctly with the previous tills. Any ideas if there's something we can sort ourselves Just looking to get this sorted as the kitchen staff are stressed and i feel they might start to hold my bacon sandwiches ransom.... cheers
  24. Just realised i've overlooked this on W11 and had a WMI filter on the GPO..... anybody use the method on W11 with success? before i brick my IT suites
