  1. Hi, Looking for recommendations for a third-party repair company for laptops and iPads. Happy enough to handle desktop repairs in-house but prefer to send laptops and iPads out. Being a special school it's almost exclusively screen replacements. We've used Entrust (Capita) for years and they were generally fine, but turnaround times have gone completely downhill. Had a laptop sent off for a screen replacement nearly two months ago and still haven't got it back. Prices are still reasonable enough, but what's the point if you're not getting machines back? Who are you using? Any companies to avoid? Cheers in advance.
  2. Me too please
  3. Since moving over to Barracuda Email Gateway Defense earlier this year, we’ve been running into intermittent deliverability problems. Some of our outbound emails are getting rejected or flagged as spam. SPF, DKIM, and DMARC are all properly configured and checking out fine. When we were routing mail directly through Microsoft, everything delivered without issue. Problems only started after switching outbound to Barracuda. It looks like the Barracuda egress IP reputation is the likely culprit. I asked Barracuda if we could be moved to another IP, but was told their system randomly rotates them and nothing can be guaranteed. A recurring issue is with Birmingham City Council, where mail keeps getting bounced/filtered. Barracuda’s advice so far: contact the council’s IT team and ask them for their logs — which, realistically, isn’t going anywhere. Has anyone else run into similar deliverability issues when routing outbound through Barracuda’s shared pools? If so, how did you resolve it — did Barracuda actually do anything useful, or did you end up moving outbound mail back to Microsoft/another service? Any experiences or suggestions would be appreciated.
  4. Have you tried a device on a hotspot? If the issue persists likely not smoothwall and vice versa
  5. We’re currently a mix of Dell and Aruba. Will be standardising WiFi and switching on Aruba though due to a DfE rebuild.
  6. Are you able to ping the MFD from the server? Is the subnet correct on the MFD?
  7. Does the reader beep but the three LEDs remain static? If so a re-instate usually sorts that
  8. We’re running on Linux
  9. We run the SBC on HyperV and prior to that ran 3CX on prem again using HyperV. We’ve had no issues
  10. I’m the same
  11. Already have most of that in place luckily
  12. Until today I was under the impression that our students' account were pretty well locked down. Turns out they've figured out how to install a VPN app and were successfully bypassing our filtering. They'd figured out that if they download a Microsoft store apps installer file directly they could install that. I have applocker in place, it however, wasn't restricting the running off store apps (it is now) probably as I had the store blocked I've got the below in place: File server resource manager blocking all installation files (exe's etc), only storage accessible to students being on our FS App locker configured to only allow apps and scripts to be started from paths which are read only to students. Web filter configured to block software downloads Microsoft store disabled Only packaged apps signed by Microsoft are able to run Outbound only 80 and 443 accessible LAPS enabled to prevent access to local admin account Only admin accounts in the school are with myself or the break glass account in the safe Is there anything I'm missing? Any advise is greatly appreciated
  13. We’re with Wave9. The service is rock solid and the support when required is excellent
  14. Do you have connectivity between sites? It is possible to have a central server which all door controllers connect to
  15. We use Access People. I’ve not had much to do with it but our old HR manager seemed happy with it
