A Google admin asks a 365 admin question.... Block all users

We have no issue with users using O365 as part of the HUP, however we can't have them using the email and onedrive. -

OK i performed a "scream test"..... i have screamers.... So we do have a license for staff to use o365, but staff should be using Google Apps. Can i disable outlook and onedrive so our users can't store anything in the O365 platform, but continue to use O365 at home? cheers -
We use the older ap50s here and are looking to replacement them to a new model in the future. We were considering the UNIF stuff. Anybody using them with a Sophos XG? If so, i'd like to hear what you think of it if you dont mind. cheers

I have ZERO experience with VOIP or phone systems... Can anybody point me in the right direction of some material that would be useful please? I'm seeing lots of buzz words that are confusing me and knocking my confidence! ATA,PBX,SIP to name a few! Just for personal development at the moment! thanks in advance

Our issue is that we don't want them to use O365 as we are heavily Google based. We also want to control whats being sent where. -

Update: I've just tried to "sign up" using a school Gmail account and it doesn't let me..... no idea how users have managed to add their school owned email -
Hi Guys, We use GSuite here, but have just confirmed ownership of our domain via the 365 admin center (Long story) We've noticed that a number of users have signed up to o365 using their school provided Google account address. Totally new to this so forgive the question.....I know i can block sign-in for individual users.... only 3 or 4 to be far... but how do i stop this from happening in the future.... We should be using G Suite not 365 cheers Sorry for the o365 newbie question!

"Legacy" modules in sims eg Exams Organiser, Options, Nova
Jaan replied to Jaan's topic in MIS Systems
Tried this, but still get the error. For giggles, I give the test account full access to the share riot and it works. So deffo a permission issue. -

I Just need to get the current module working now really. we can transition to online later in the year. Does anybody know what NTFS permissions the user of the options module needs on the S: ? I only started getting the error (post 4) in options once S: drive permission were amended to satisfy GDPR requirements. I've obviously missed something for Options. cheers -

Sophos home, it's free but also has a premium scale if you choose. https://home.sophos.com/en-us.aspx

Long story short, we have been changing S:\ permissions and removing the s:\ entirely for staff that don't need it. We use Solus4 to deploy so "most" of the stuff goes through the database, so no S: needed. However, i've started to make security groups for the relevant areas and some of the older software is being a little more problematic. Are legacy apps, like Exams Organiser, Options, or Nova still the prefered modules used by schools, do capital even support them.... or should we be using a more modern alternative? Some of these look NT 95 era! Just for transparency, we've normally had a dedicated SIMS manager here that looked after sims and the servers that solely ran it. I have little to no experience with SIMS\CAPITA. I don't really know what i'm talking about lol
