Youtube Educational Video option - about time too!
russdev replied to elsiegee40's topic in e-Safety
Looking at it just been trying to get it to work locally using fildder but not got it to work yet. However as I read it idea is that unblock Youtube and any request to youtube will get redirect to education site (unless you logged into account that is allowed full access)as you alter http header with a custom code for your school/LA etc. -
Shame to see another computer pioneer go.. Russ

I would go for toolkit (just for a chance to heckle David) as someone said go for Powershell. What you find within each 3 tracks there is one route which while is not beginners route but not your all out lets start editing routing tables I think you may found that more useful than 64 bit one. Don't worry about comfort zone Michael is very good speaker who can communicate to all the levels within a room. Russ

Is there a machine that is always on in that domain that could install Impero client to?
-
Hello Katie I updated your ticket this morning as said in previous if you could please can you try the following tool (http://download.cnet.com/Wake-On-LAN/3000-2085_4-10486163.html) and try to wake an effected machine up using this tools does this 3rd party tool wake it up or not? Can you run the tool from save place as Impero server is installed on. If the 3rd party tools does not wake the machine up then issue with bios settings but we need to rule out bios settings before we can go any further.. Russell

Is it not that we don't liking compared to AB Tutor as we are naturally going to be. Just people used to (not so much now) forget we did lot more than just classroom management. Regards Russell

Hi In log viewer you can choose reports button or you can export the logs as csv and also run reports on it that way. Regards Russell

Also with Impero v3 can unlock the screen with logging them out but of course need to run Impero to do it so still need to login into a machine etc.. Russ

I believe you need to extract the main installer and then create a response files. I think this will work based on dreamweaver however think will work for Studio as well... AppDeploy > Package Knowledgebase > Dreamweaver MX 2004

Sorry been off the grid lot to today so missed this one. You can run reports within Log Viewer to found out what people are using etc.

What go to remember people who work in same industry know each other and on a basic level get on (we have to really for things to work) however we of course deny all knowledge of it if anyone asks

Part agree and part disagree. He certainly had strong ruthless streak and was no angel. However his design and the products changed technology. MP3 players brought by techies released ITouch and design meant for first time consumers wanted the device. Smart phones (it was business world and techies that brought them - released Iphone and consumers then wanted a smart phones. Both times competitors followed afterwards and tried to match design of the apple products.

Hello Kath What I would do is create a new group called Shutdown ICT Suite add all the computers to that group. Then can create a single shutdown policy on that group. Russell
-
Hi Kath You create a policy on the entire network level and keep it disabled. You can enable the policy on different groups (anything not enabled on entire network will show as a policy to enable on other groups). Hope that helps let me know if need any more advice. Russell

I agree to many fingers i said few years back things like Smartcache they should just partner up with someone who does that area fulltime. @lordasb That is what they are saying they know that already... However people are missing bigger picture and that is change of directors that is the interesting news the other news is business sense.. Russ

Digital camera recommendations for very young (nursery) children

My son had one of these from age of 2 and he is 4 now and it still works.. Russ -
@tom time to brush up on my perl then... @pete It will just be me so technical is fine. Has to be standalone as not running it as part of a LP I will check the similarity-tester... Crude is fine at moment to be honest because of content sounds cagey doesn't it I don't fancy reading all 500+ documents.. Russell
-
Thanks Sadly I don't think that will work as phrases are not going to be in their database (almost certainly not as they are chat logs publicly available before someone says something). It has to look at documents we have and compare them against each other as said I think I am being to ambitious. Russ
-
Hello Anyone know of any software that will look at two documents (well in end going to be 100+ documents but lets start with two) and find common phrases between the documents. Problem is I do not know what the phrases are. I think might be asking for too much and have to do common words and then compare the context and start building a list of phrases to check for. Any ideas greatly received. Russell

Congrats that is great news.....

impero wont pick up computers
russdev replied to newpersn's topic in Network and Classroom Management
It Will do. The others will have IP of the Impero server stored as been running before etc. DNS entry will sort it as clients are set to look for that along with few other methods if it can't find a valid Impero server. As said just give us a buzz or pm me details and I will call you to save your phone bill. Russell
