Hello I am a Educational Technologist and a Support Analyst at Impero. First thanks for the kind comments we do pride ourself on support and while nobody perfect we aim to be . First the support is open 9 am to 9pm uk time and if got any issues what so ever give me us call we will gladly help (I am there between 9 and 5:30 feel free to ask for me by name). I am going to leave it at that as don't want to come across as advertising just wanted to say thank you for kind comments.. Russ -
if want to limit for example who they could phone etc then no it would be a all or no solution via either blocking via exe, port or url... However if want to stop them accessing features and adding skype credit. Then might be able to use combo of skype business client which can disable parts.. Then maybe able to use skype business accounts and limit them access to adding credit but then they could just login into there own account.. What is main issue you feel stops you from using it with in the school? Russell Russell

Also just seen this via twitter as well.. iPads in Education Don't get me wrong I don't advocate buying one for every student. But buying one and working out what can do is very useful. Yes you have to be prepared to fail you will buy something that might not work the best but I go back to my original point. The first time computers were used in a classroom the exact same was said why waste money when could be buying pencils.. Sometimes need to take risks. However risk can be reduced by having good relationship with vendors who can provide free equipment for you to trial things out on.. Russell

Saw think link on twitter other day with some useful information on schools using IPad.. iPads in Education | Scoop.it While I agree about aims comment and buying for sake of something new. Sometimes you need to buy a product and see how it can be used otherwise computers would never had been used in schools. First time computers were used in schools people had to figure the best way to use them.. Russell

As few people have contacted us over problems A2Z seem to be having. Like Rob said Impero was never owned by A2Z they were our main reseller a few years back but we have been selling direct to schools as well via other resellers for number of years now. Impero is growing stronger every day and Impero has not gone bust.

Just for peoples info Leon cynch has organised a crowd sourcing of the creative archive downloads. He has setup a dropbox He will make it available to people working in UK schools to download. Learn 4 Life » Teachers’ TV Video Archive - the next stage There is some very good content on there so if can help by downloading some files then do so.. Russell

IT Staff Training/Sharing Knowledge - How do you do it?
russdev replied to flyinghaggis's topic in General Chat
I think first thing is a wiki to document stuff (also make sure staff add to the wiki when you set something up not afterwards)... Make that basics that everyone puts info up there but the key to this is as soon as info is up there get together 15 to 30 mins max for that person to give rest of you the highlights. Last but not least get a day in summer (and easter holidays if can) and set it is training so that all of you have time to get bigger things across. Russell -
I am in two minds about this ask question yes but fairly obvious that CEO was not going to give him anything after first question he asked so to try and ask it in same way seemed silly.. On other hand it was a valid question...

@Shaun Now you just being mean blocking it up As for API yes please would certainly make life easier reading threads on here... It is interesting as it was my 'job' per say to read all posts I did now that not my job but want to keep up to date with things on edugeek.net I can see how hard can be for people to keep up to date with posts on edugeek.net.
