cracked it, deleted my gpo's for this then started again. Computer Config > Policies > Admin Templates > Network/Offline Files > Allow or disable use of the Offline Files feature : Disabled. This one on its own sorted it. Kick myself!! Thanks All!!

I had this too, I have diasbled the offline bit, but still get the little sychronise icon on the folder. It does not do the synchronise at log off either, weird!!

I.m in the process of our CC3 migration also. I have opted for the from scratch angle. I have the new servers setup on there own lan for now and making sure all shares etc are all ok. Testing GPOs for user groups and stations. Next is rebuild setups for stations, will make sure every build for each different station is right before roll out. The great thing from scratch is all the aquired rubbish will be gone and the setup is just how we need it. Would be good to share our experiences/problems during the process if anyone is interested? maybe setup a CC3/Vanilla migration section?

Thats true, but would be nice to have a network share with lots of resource available that users can browse with ease. Music samples ad clips used for music packages and video editing etc would be great also.

I,m researching to find some way of purchasing for the school, a collection of clip art and sound clips. This content will be used only in school and saved on a shared area of the server. I have found loads of content CD's but none with Site licence etc. Any help would be great.

I solved problem of win 7 printers, sort of. I installed the printer locally first i.e local logon not network logon and set as default. That way every user who logs on at that station gets the local printer.

We are adding a 2008 SIMS server to our 2003 domain, the new server will sit in the domain but only 3 clients will access it. I know we will require SQL CALS for the clients i.e x 3. I presume that I only need 3 CALs for 2008 but have been advised that I will need 2008 CALs for all stations in the domain is this correct? thanks in advance paul

Hi All!! Just wondered if anyone has had any recent dealings with Ergo? We are looking to move away from CC3 and are looking at options with other suppliers, with the view of being vanilla but with some network management solution. I know others have posted before but seem quite dated. Cheers
