You're not wrong. I think they split setup costs over the duration of the contract unless you want it done otherwise. This is all to be discussed and worked out though, and our location is very favourable in terms of location to cabinets etc, so we'll see.

We've still got our options open, but I have spoken with Exa and RM thus far. The latter do, as you say, offer some decent pricing on their fibre lines, so one possibility for us is to go with them, and then bring the security and filtering on site. Bigger initial outlay but a decent yearly rate thereafter. I'm equally dubious about the suitability of RM's offerings with regard content filtering etc. We're a little behind on this, but then that was entirely our own fault.

We have a suite of Stone AIOs as well, and we like them a lot. I know Novatech also do a 'spacesaver' model which looks pretty good.

I think we'd be able to defend as it is anyway, without having to commit extra forces. Those pulling out of Afghanistan will need to be getting ready for the Iranian adventure anyway...

I think Argentinian politicians see this issue as one they can score easy points over without having to actually do anything. A bit of Brit-bashing is lapped up by the masses. William has been deployed there as an Air-Sea Rescue pilot; hardly an act of war. I believe the other deployment is one new destroyer. Essentially the population of the islands currently wish to remain British and we have said we won't discuss their future unless this changes, which is hard to argue with. The real issue I suspect is who profits, and to what extent, from the oil in the area. Edit: Damn you both.

Had the meeting as mentioned above and wasn't impressed. Geezer turned up with a schools directory in his hand, and the crux of it seemed to be Samsung trying to push their printers and printing solutions into schools with certain amounts of money allocated to each area. The 'gifts' of laptops, tablets, etc, would come later... It wasn't a very long meeting.

The scousers in particular love playing the victims, so the reaction on their part was always to be expected. They probably should have been done for the stance they took and some of the veiled accusations they made about the report as well. But in general, football fans are blindly loyal and will follow pretty much anyone in their teams' shirt.

We've used it here since September, and it's worked well and as far as accounting goes has cut down on a lot of the work we previously had to put in, as account management in centralised. You can pretty much set it up how you want, so you could essentially keep doing what you have been, but in a more efficient way. Here each department is issued with credit that fits within our projected output on our copier contract, and the HOD is then able to manage their staff's use of it. Accounts are billed monthly. Previously readings we are taken individually by hand, and money taken out of budgets quite randomly to cover costs. The point about making sure your copiers will properly take Papercut is valid, and we originally had two Xerox machines which required an external input device for integration, which wasn't perfect and caused a few issues. The features to locking down and filtering the printing are almost limitless, and have been fantastic.

After walking hundreds of miles at BETT yesterday I've been on a bit of a go-slow today. Going to have a quiet night tonight, lazy day tomorrow, then I'm in Swansea on Sunday where things shall be consumed. All topped off with a nice 11-0 win for the Arsenal. That's the plan anyway.

Which government first proposed HS2? I'm of the mind that it's the sort of infrastructure improvement we need to be making, and while the nimbys need to be properly paid off, there views shouldn't be allowed to bring a halt to proceedings if it's deemed the project is in the national interest.

Ultimately the individual teachers and departments need to be held accountable then. As has been said if you've got filtering in place then that's not so much of a worry as the potential for damage to equipment and mess caused by unsupervised students. I have one such area that is in the middle of a block which is used by all the surrounding classrooms, and have had similar issues with unsupervised students in there from different classes during lessons, and at break and lunch if it has been left unlocked.
