I have to say I don't agree with this competition method, as it is essentially who knows the most people not best picture, I went and looked through the other photos and thought there were a couple better than yours so voted accordingly, hopefully others did the same rather than mindlessly clicking on yours, not to say yours is a bad photo because it isn't but some of the others are amazing! Would you feel you had won honestly, that your picture was actually the best, if you won? I hope you don't take this personally just one of my gripes, it's the same with the "vote for my cute baby" posts.

Thanks for that @sparkeh so you find 2tb storage is enough for your network? Also do all students have logins or do you have generic class logins or what? Also do you have leased printers or a general mish mash? The other things is do we kit out all the classrooms even though some will be empty for a couple of years, or kit them out as and when they are needed and risk having different kit in each room, which I guess would help with phased upgrade rollouts...

So we have a new primary school opening up in September, brand new building brand new school so only about 60 little darlings. Just looking to get ideas of what other primary's have as there network setup as I have only worked in Secondary's. So I'm after how many servers you have and for what roles and what spec, what storage capacity do you have, which switch's, bother with vlans, wireless, level of redundancy, desktop pc spec, classroom systems smartboards, touchscreens, ipads? Currently thinking: 2x hyper v hosts for file, print servers etc 1x physical DC HP switches, probably not bother with vlans Ubiquiti wireless 1 x 10-20tb SAN Nas in outside building somewhere for DPM backups Possibly Smoothwall i5, SSD, 8GB staff desktops Clevertouch or similar screens Alternatively also looking into cloud services if anyone has hosted servers or exchange would be interested to hear from you. Any opinions, or in other words if you were given a blank canvas with sensible (yet unknown) budget for a school that wont be at capacity for 3/4 years what would you go for. Thanks!

@Arreks are we actually twins separated at birth?? I am also replacing a Nexus 5 and using GiffGaff, didn't want to try cutting down my sim so have ordered a replacement. I'm impressed with the fingerprint sensor really fast and easy to use, other than that and the size of the screen, extra storage and better camera, hard to differentiate between this and the Nexus 5. Was running Cyanogenmod on the nexus 5 so have missed having Google now.

It's arrived, first issue during setup it wont connect to wireless, but if you skip it, it is actually connected, 2nd issue is it takes nano sims.....FUUUUUUU!

I blame @littlehoops, if they hadn't given out the invites on that day we wouldn't be having this issue....jokes. Looks like we will have to reclaim from oneplus (have logged a support ticket not had a response, order status says paypal cancelled reversal) as per the Paypal FAQ: "What can I do if I accidentally paid twice? If you accidentally paid someone twice and both payments are completed, you should contact the recipient to arrange a refund of the duplicate payment." (even if it is paypals fault!!!!)

Oh I didn't say he didn't deserve it, did point out to him before we started that it wasn't really appropriate, unfortunately he wasn't fond of the sight of blood either so almost passed out. Lesson learned!

Paypal closed the unauthorized payment dispute and both payments have left my bank account, not a happy bunny!

Yup paypal reversed here aswell So currently paid £630 for 1 phone and case due to double payment, paypal looking to recover cost on one payment, oneplus saying paypal reversal (so order cancelled??). Hoping this doesn't turn into an epic ballache.

I've gone through the Paypal route now, unauthorized payment method, will see what happens, but that moneys kinda useful for holiday next week!
