Hello, I am opening this thread based on the below I was hoping @localzuk or someone else can help. http://www.edugeek.net/forums/netbooks-pda-phones/220498-3cx.html#post1887467 IT Support has a call queue. And we want to set office hours on this queue - after 5PM a message is played to inform the caller that the department is closed. This works on an inbound route from the outside world - our public number. However when someone calls the internal extension number for the queue it doesn't hit the inbound route so these office hours don't apply. It was suggested that the Call Flow Designer could be used to achieve this. I am trying to figure out how we would apply the design to an internal number. I can figure out how to assign it to an inbound route but again this won't apply to the internal call. Any tips would be gratefully received. Thanks

I am curious to see how many people have switched to the new version of Edge.
-
Wow - I feel like im very boring. All I have is a laptop!
-
Quick question - does anyone know how you make queues appear in the directory list - IE showing without searching? Also is there a way to hide digital receptionists from the search please?

I did forget about the call flow designer. Does the multiple the multiple template work for DECT phones? I can’t see it on ours. Cheers

The UK plug is solid. I can't remember every seeing one damaged. Surely pins themselves are tougher than the cover?
-
You can modify the template but you can't have different templates for different phones.

Lenovo need to hang their head in shame. We have recently switched to them from Dell. Dell monitors had no polystyrene. Lenovo monitor packaging are full of it!

I am part way roll out 500 extensions across 19 sites. There are some things is lacking 1. Office hours for internal queues. 2. Custom phone templates 3. The office 365 sync is quite limited. However it’s cheap and the soft clients are very good. Works well on mobile devices as well as Windows etc.

Hello, One of our users has decided to upgrade to Windows 10 20H2 (we use 20H1) and cause compatibility issues. We issue the patches via SCCM. Is there a way to stop users from installing updates themselves and only allow updates pushed via SCCM please? Thanks

And I think you're more likely to bulk check-in. Can't think of any circumstance when I have allocated users a lot of equipment in one go.
-
I wish it had a way to mass check-in assets. We are rolling out new equipment and we have heaps to check back into the system. It would be good if you can scan the code and it does it for you. However you have to go into each record.

The issue is keeping the desktops alive when we move to the OneDrive known folders. It needs to be as seamless as possible. If I can get it right full day one it should make life easier in the long run.

Hello, We redirect the documents folder to the H Drive. It works well. We do not redirect the Desktop but no matter how many times we say it people store documents their. So I am looking to redirect it just so we get a backup. I am thinking redirecting it to a sub folder of the H drive. But this is short term. At some point (not just yet) I would like to enable Known Folders to migrate everyone's H Drive to OneDrive. Considering I know this is coming up - what is the best strategy in the temporary redirect to the H drive please? It's a shame we can't use the known folders group policy settings for just the desktop! Thanks

Unifi Controller 6 - VLAN Tagging With Third Party Switch?
FN-GM replied to FN-GM's topic in Wireless Networks
Thank you. I think it brings it into line with how you configure the switches. Can you set it un tagged without specifying a subnet? What I don’t like it the WIFI AP group UI. 1. It should have its own area or be in the device section. Not going into the SSID settings to make a config change. 2. If you have 2 SSID with the same name it’s not easy to identify which is which. With point 2 we have 2 of the same SSID settings with different VLAN tagging (due to a network migration). We assign one to one group and the other to the second. It’s only temporary but it was still better on the old UI. -
Unifi Controller 6 - VLAN Tagging With Third Party Switch?

Sorry, when you said assign a VLAN to an SSID I thought you meant directly like you used to do. Is anyone able to confirm for sure please? -
Unifi Controller 6 - VLAN Tagging With Third Party Switch?
FN-GM replied to FN-GM's topic in Wireless Networks
That’s how it used to work on version 5 of the controller. That is how we do it now. With version 6 you need to create a network (with the VLAN setting) and assign that to the SSID. -
Unifi Controller 6 - VLAN Tagging With Third Party Switch?
FN-GM posted a topic in Wireless Networks
Hello, I am looking at how the Unifi controller version 6 handles vlan tagging. I understand that you have to great a new network with the VLAN tag and then select this network in the SSID. However when I select VLAN Only it tells me a Unifi switch is required. Is this actually true or will this work with third party switches please? Thanks -
When i worked in schools the teacher did this. We delegated password reset rights in AD and then they used this app to perform the reset - https://wisedataman.com/password-control

VoIP - How have you set up your School?
FN-GM replied to jimmckenna's topic in Mobile Devices & Tablets
We are currently deploying 3CX in our company. We have done 5 sites of 18. I have also used FreePBX. FreePBX is free and more customisable however 3CX software apps blow FreePBX out of the water. We have ours hosted without MPLS network provider who also provides SIP. It means the clients and SIP never travels over the public network and stays internal. @jimmckenna you would use 3CX to replace your PBX. -
I would setup email rules for them to delete them or drop them in a folder. There are only 5 heads of year so it shouldn't be a drama. Better than creating generic account IMO.

Is the DC a VM in Hyper-V? By default the mac addresses change and you can stop this in the settings of the VM.

What specific devices does this issue apply to please?

They do not have an Education account
