  1. We have 40 2 year old HP Elitebooks and 300 3+ year old Dell Latitudes. Having a quick look on our service desk we have had 0 reports of USB-C connector issues for Dell but 4 for the HP laptops. Although all repaired under warranty a 10% failure rate isn't good.
  2. My bets is issues with the BGP routing.
  3. One thing I did find strange is that the Apple logo is now missing from the front. I think it would look good with the same shade they use on the back.
  4. Thanks for your PM. Much appreciated.
  5. Hello, Bit of a cheeky request here. I was wondering if anyone has an IT strategic plan I can look at please? It's not really the strategy itself, more how it's been put together. Thanks
  6. I watched A Quiet Place last night as I will be going to see the second movie in the cinema. Embarrassingly I spent about a minute at the start of the movie trying to work out why the sound wasn't working....
  7. I quite like the new iMac. Nice nod to the past with all the colours. I was speaking to someone last week who has an M1 Macbook Air. They previously had a 2017 Macbook Pro. He is very pleased with the battery life.
  8. Don’t be silly! They won’t read it! [emoji23]
  9. It's something that is causing us a headache. We have a new starter who before joining worked at another company that works closely with ours. People who corresponded with them in their old position keep emailing their old address, getting bouncebacks and then report faults on the helpdesk.
  10. There are a few options here https://help.ui.com/hc/en-us/articles/204909754-UniFi-Layer-3-Adoption-for-Remote-UniFi-Network-Applications
  11. I opened this up expecting to see a picture of a smashed TV on the ground.
  12. The Courier Another enjoyable watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPesenhvjU0&ab_channel=JoBloMovieTrailers
  13. I had issues returning Meraki equipment. When I first started my position with a had storeroom with lots of random make and models of various spares and surplus equipment. This was mainly due to to the non standard equipment out in production. (Lots of that fixed now). Anyway, I was there for over 6 months and got the threatening phone calls. I had no idea the previous management had loaned the equipment more than 12 months before. It took months for them to tell me what was loaned and the returns procedure. We finally got the information and after going through the storeroom I managed to find it all. I didn’t even know we had it in there. Anyway it was boxed and ready for return. However the shipping company wouldn’t collect it. I ended up sending a member of staff to the airport to drop it off at the depot. I never heard anything since. Fingers crossed!
  14. I worked in schools for 12 years in the statistically most deprived area of England. This has never been an issue, we put processes in place hardly got any damage. The root cause needs to be addressed and not papering over the cracks with hard glass monitors.
  15. What update are you reffering to please?
  16. I’m not sure how they map is calculated but it looks like your newer batch are installed in part of building that was built at a different time. Maybe the materials used are making the WIFI signal weaker?
  17. What do you call a magician who's lost his magic? Ian
  18. I would argue that it is the role of colleges to teach and prepare students for the workplace.
  19. Looking good. It's a shame about the monitor
  20. Did they also ask for a Betamax and VHS player?
  21. We changed a WAN contract. And I am left with over 20 Cisco routers (still supported). Going to come in handy for my CCNP renewal.
  22. And the latest iPad Air.
  23. Im going to try this out! Knowing how Apple operate they will probably add features like this 12 months down the line.
