Get the U7 XG over the U7 Pro. Primarily because the pro has a fan installed and the XG is passive cooling, less to go wrong. As a bonus the XG has a port capable of 5 and 10 gigabit. The XG is only £19 more expensive. The lack of a fan makes it worth the extra....

Correct Correct What is the full configuration of the port. On Cisco switches you can add configuration that doesn't actually apply as it superseded by other config. For example, you can have allowed VLANS on an access port, the line of config is there but doesn't actually do anything. Before getting to DHCP, check if static IP addressing works.

I would consider eliminating any single points of failure, your WAN switch for example. Ubiquiti don't have a speedy service for hardware replacements.

Have you checked the logs under the user sign in activity? Is anything hitting conditional access?

We have had a few backplanes replaced and there was no need for a rebuild. It wasn't the same model server though.

When I lived in the UK, I drove manual. When I moved to Australia, I have only owned automatic cars. I would never go back to manual. Australia went to primarily automatic a long time ago. A few years ago, we had a loan car (whilst the usual was in for repairs) at work that was manual and I was the only one who could actually drive it!

Be aware of the security weakness of MiFare 1k cards. The encryption on these has been broken and they are vulnerable. DESFire is considered secure, but the cards are more expensive.

I would bet money on this being the cables. You will need good quality cables. A good AV supplier can advise more, but we have A LOT of screens and find fibre optic HDMI to be the best solution.

Drive mapping can be managed by InTune Policies, we imported custom ADMX files. Works great. The rest I mostly agree with. It works well for 1:1 devices. Education is like this in a lot of the world, but the UK is a bit backwards in this respect. Here in Australia every student has their own laptop and InTune works well.
