Definitely an offline files issue, as Andy said. In a file explorer window, check if the button at the top says "work online" and get them to click it if it does: Otherwise, check in Sync Centre if there are any errors, and get it to synchronise.

Any further recommendations? Keith from Avente has been out to quote and sent through his pricing. Unfortunately EasiPC said they're unable to take on a project of this size and complexity.

After a discussion with the Bursar about other things I mentioned the next "big project" would be to re-cable one of the buildings, which houses most of the admin staff amongst other things. In a major surprise he's asked me to get some quotes! Can anyone recommend a contractor to come out to quote for the work? Use them for all our office printers, the "big" copiers are all on lease deals with toner included. Great service, the only minor hassle was getting our account suspended recently - that's because we hadn't paid them though!

Currently our reprographics room uses a Ricoh Pro C5100S with booklet finisher, punch & large capacity tray. This is up for renewal in 12 months and we're looking into replacements. This has been a particularly unreliable machine - and Ricoh only seem to have a couple of engineers trained to repair it... This machine is used for everything from printing pupil diaries to promotional material, so needs to be fast, reliable and high quality. What we'll need it to do: Double sided colour printing on A3/A4/A5, paper and card Booklet fold & staple Hole punch - 2 & 4 holes Multiple paper trays, including the function for front/back pages from a separate tray "Would be nice" features: Multi fold option It would be great if we can find a machine that'll fold A5 into A6 booklets, as this is how we print our school calendars for parents. We had been told the Ricoh would do this, then found out it wouldn't, so we have to print them then use a separate unit to fold & staple them. Suggestions, previous experience (good or bad) and other comments welcome!

We have one host, two VMs (though the "second" VM is just a backup DC, DNS etc.) - we had a server failure in the past that took a week to recover from. A recent ransomware attack took a few hours, and that was including formatting & reinstalling Windows Server on the host!

Tremors The 1990 classic monster movie starring Kevin Bacon was on at the local cinema as part of "cult film club". Great to watch it on the big screen.

Had this issue before, and found a really weird solution to it here. Connect a wire from the VGA cable mounting screw (assume the same for HDMI if that's what you're using) to the earth pin of the mains lead.

Hurricane The true story of 303 Squadron, made up of Polish (and Czech) fighter pilots who travelled across Europe after their countries fell to the Nazis and joined the RAF to keep fighting. Great film, showing the tough time these pilots had getting accepted by the British hierarchy, then becoming the most successful squadron in the Battle of Britain, and finally being left out of the victory parade to appease Stalin.

Seems so, though the screen for domain authentication has been updated since Thursday.

Never mind - now that we don't need to rush around and send our start of term newsletter out (disabled DKIM temporarily) it's authenticated!

I'm trying to authenticate Mailchimp so that it works with DKIM on our domain. Gone through all the setup as instructed, added the relevant DNS entries and still comes up with an error. Not sure why though, as dnschecker says the CNAME entry required is pointing to the right address... Any ideas? It's been nearly 24 hours so in theory may not have propagated yet. As we're using "forever free" Mailchimp we don't have any email or chat support.

Thanks arthur, trying out something suggested elsewhere by disabling QUIC and seems to be working better. It has only happened since we came back from the holidays, so I expect that's when v69 was installed on all the computers here.

Still experiencing this issue. Thought it might be because Smoothwall was showing slow response to DNS requests so restarted DNS service on the server, got the green light in "functionality tests" but Google sites still lagging massively. Even tried temporarily turning off all the Smoothwall web filter, HTTPS inspection, content modification & anti malware to see if that's the cause but still horribly slow. Throughout all of this IE still seems to be working at "normal" speed, I'm at a loss to understand what it is. Something must be behind it!

Seems to be all users, certainly not isolated to any one part of the premises. It's an intermittent thing, sometimes (for example) the Drive page will load in a few seconds, others it'll hang with the circle of death for well over a minute.

We have a frustrating/confusing issue with Chrome not loading (or taking an age to load) Google domain sites, including Gmail, Google Drive etc. Loading other websites on Chrome is fine. This does not seem to be a problem using IE or Firefox on the same computers, so seems to be a browser issue. We're using Smoothwall but I've whitelisted all the Google domains I can find. Any suggestions?
