Ok I have a strange issue, when staff enter google.com they are redirected to .co.uk (thats normal I know) but for some reason .co.uk displays at not accessible on several machines in school but not all. I have since added a search box on our intranet which lets staff search .com and it works fine on there. Ive no idea what is causing this issue and there are no filters against it.

Yer I plan to, I coded it up this afternoon and put it live, kids have complemented it and im going to give them a mock up html/css of it for them to play with as part of there dreamweaver coursework. I didn't inform staff it was changing and heared the IT teacher saying "whats this your on you should be doing your work get off games" lol. Might make better use of the middle area and add a contact helpdesk bit. The right hand colum now has two parts "links" and "folders" folders points to the curriculum resource shared area and pupil documents used to handout spreadsheets and work to pupils. I was about to ask the very same thing! That would be very good dynamic but as you said time consuming to setup, I was thinking of using an RSS feed from our Learning Gateway announcments but there never used! Could do with updating our school website too as its not been updated in years from what I can tell, it was handled externally a few years back im told. Ludlow CE School *stretch*

I was thinking of redesigning our old homepage and adding some more information to it and looking for inspiration. How about we have a topic people post a screenshot of their schools internal homepage? Ours at the moment (for techs, different icons for staff and students)

Deploying a registry change over your network
bondbill2k2 replied to bondbill2k2's topic in How do you do....it?
Thanks for the help, sorted -
Im trying to change an already existing registry entry for a software license directory across our network, I've never done this before and was wondering if anyone could help. From what I've read you cannot just export the changed registry entry then run it from a batch at logon GPO scripts as it will only add to the current value and .reg won't remove or delete previous entrys. How would I go about making this change? Thanks!

Toshiba Tecra A11-17C Wireless issues
bondbill2k2 replied to bondbill2k2's topic in Wireless Networks
I found the issue which was rather embarasing! The laptop which had a problem was used to create an image from before I started here. Since then its been imaged out to another laptop and we are using static IP's on all wireless devices, the laptop that also had this IP was unused until in the last week when a member of staff came back from a long time sick leave with their laptop and IP clash Should of checked our laptop log before hand! -
What about photoshop elements?

Ive only lost a couple of lbs in the last few weeks too but ive noticed it on my waist! My scales also do the bodyfat % but they havnt changed at all, still around 48-49% that I was at almost 20lbs ago. Ive been told it could be me burning muscle but I dont believe that as ive been doing workouts and eating plenty including plenty of protein. I've also been told scales bodyfat readers are very inaccurate and not to worry!
-
Is everyone still sticking to their diets/routines then? Ive lost 19lbs so far, down to 108.5kg so its going pretty well, still not joined the gym, need to work on strength workouts as ive been doing just cardio, need to improvemt muscle

Sounds pretty immense! We also used some in a waffle maker (a textered george foreman grill) we brought from lidl for under £10 they were lovely! Came with a little book of ideas which I plan to try this weekend, ginger waffles (add a little stem ginger into the mix)

How often do you clean projector filters?
bondbill2k2 replied to Sirbendy's topic in How do you do....it?
Thats what happens here! Since I started this year ive wrote up a list and date each time one has been cleaned and counter reset, plan to do it once every other month where possible (some such as the halls and drama room with a very high celiing I can't get near) -

We currently have 90 of these Toshiba A11-17C laptops used in school and more then one occasion we have had issues with dropping connections and poor signal even when directly near an AP. I currently have 1 annoying laptop on my desk, it will not hold a connection to the AP, others will quite happily tho. It will connect for a matter of seconds before disconecting. Im out of ideas on why this is being caused, all configurations are fine and im testing it now with no other devices on the AP.

What did you think of C&C4 and Red alert 3
-
how many were you having tho? A mate of mine was having at least 1 a day often more
-
Does anyone on here have either? Ruse is great, something abit different and rather cheap to buy too! C&C Zerohour is a classic, seems to be a marmite game where some love it some hate it tho, I played it loads when it came out and many years after, GLA sneak tactics and tunnel networks rule
-
Really! I still have it somewhere, might boot it up when I get home tonight.Great game but I prefer BF2. Bored of bulletstorm already (on last chapter and played for prob 5hours if that)
