It's been done here, but only worked after dark and needed a really powerful projector that was hired in for the purpose. I wasn't involved so I can't give any specifics.

It's been reasonably quiet at work so I finally had time to put a new hard drive in my machine (to replace a creaking 120Gb example) and put a fresh software isntall onto it.

I often use the Windows Key, I can press that to open the start menu and by the time it's open I've dragged my mouse back over from the second monitor. Often just use the cursor keys in the start menu too.

How long before somebody claims you can't do that because you're discriminating against the colour blind?

The ` is used as an additional type of quote mark in MySQL - generally used when referring to table names IIRC.

I heard of a creative method of naming servers - each was named after a chemical element and the last octal of its IP address was the atomic number of the element. Which meant that you could use a periodic table as a manual DNS.

The advice I've been given is that for things like long exposure work a cheapo tripod will probably not be sufficiently stable. Mine cost about £70 from Calumet and is rock solid.

It seems to be a reasonable complaint to me, if you can't clock in until you've logged in to your PC, then your having to boot up the PC on your own time, and if that is taking 15 minutes it's reasonably to be upset.

If it's every day, then I'd be arguing that that is a substantive duty and should be on your job description. Reasonable tasks should be for things which are unforseen short term measures to dig the place out of a hole.

In the first instance, find out what kit the people who you want to talk to are using - there are several methods, most of which are mutually incompatible.

Can you not do something along the lines of: Create a GPO which gives Restricted Groups to assign his account to Administators. Create a group which has the computer accounts of the two computers in that you want him to manage Set permissions on the GPO so that they apply only to that group.

A simple definition would be that if you're making changes and they go pear shaped, the backout plan would be how you abandon the changes and go back to the original configuration.

Agreed on point 1, point 2 is beyond the scope of the point I was trying to make, but is entirely valid. On point 3, it was indeed 6x4" sheets, and I did say as much Point 4, yes agreed, but given that I'd already demonstrated that the ink and paper cost considerably more than getting it printed commercially those extra details are somewhat moot.

I did the maths on comparing printing on my aging Lexmark at home compared to commercial offerings. I make it about 20p for each 6x4" printed on reasonable paper on the Lexmark. Workings here

I suspect it may be ENPS - Electronic News Production System - rather than Lookout. This is the system which runs the whole BBC News operation.
