Oh no. What a day, what a year!

Ok a bit behind but just started on Preacher and oh. my. God. Awseome

(I have started this thread as an offshoot from the Annoying Things thread) So we have an issue where our SSD machines boot too quickly so the NIC is not initialised, GPOs are not applied at boot and there is a NETLOGON error in the system log (can't contact domain). I have the "Always wait for network at computer startup and logon" setting enabled and "Specify startup policy processing wait time" set to 60 seconds yet still the machines don't wait for the network. Anyone else seeing this?!

Our year 5 are learning about blogging. I have been asked to provide a platform for them to use. As we have 365 I have looked at Delve but that looks a little complex possibly? What do other people use and would recommend? TIA

Printers. Oh how I loathe printers. I have worked in IT for about 15 years and printers are still as bad now as they were then. Software with a non-standard installer and no documentation. Perhaps this applies more to primary software but why oh why, when we have a few different deployment methods with standard install switches would you create a custom installer without telling us anything about how it works. Grrrr. Solus 3.

I think it depends on the culture of the school. We would be lost without our suite, its constantly in use for lessons, lunchtime clubs, afterschool intervention schemes, staff training etc. We can't see it running as well if we replaced the suite with laptops.

I use Advanced Installer to create an msi (you can create an msi that registers fonts with windows) that's pushed out with sccm (or your favourite app deployment solution). That way you get some monitoring on if it's been successful .
