I think the main problem is that it comes off the heals of The Mandalorian, so that's the benchmark to compare against. I liked the series as a whole, but for me, it was the action scenes that really left a lot to be desired.

The only real risks to voiding insurance in case of fire would potentially be not PAT testing or knowingly using faulty equipment. I think the replies to this thread speak volumes, this is clearly not an issue anywhere else.

User Configuration > Policies > Administrative Templates > Start Menu and Taskbar > Start Layout File This is an XML file, which can be an absolute bugger to get right. It allows you to control the tile icons in the Start Menu, as well as the pinned Taskbar items. I highly recommend using Notepad++ to create and amend the XML file. There used to be issues with corrupt XML files due to formatting when using Windows' Notepad application. I don't know if this is still an issue, but I still use Notepad++ to edit my XML file.

Where did you get that information you received this month? We haven't received anything like that. Is it only the 6-month break claused that they've withdrawn, meaning if you enter the three year contract, you're stuck in it for the full duration?

Our teacher monitors are 22" 1080p and our office monitors are 24" 1080p. Our student workstations are mainly 19" 1366x768, but we recently upgraded one suite to 22" 1080p monitors. We want to do the rest, but the price of monitors has increased some 20% over the past few months, so we can't justify it at the moment. I'd like to go higher resolution, but display scaling is still an issue in Windows and it's not something I've investigated yet for every day work use.

Like our GP policies, we have separate policies for device configuration and user configuration. I also prefer having more individual policies that group similar aspects together (like @KevinB said), so printer settings in one, Internet settings in another, device restrictions in another, user restrictions in another, etc. And further split to differentiate between staff and students (for both user accounts and devices). This allows for less issues if you bork a policy, at least it doesn't bork all your settings.

We've been using Intune for a few years now. It's far from perfect (and not the best to navigate around), but it does the basics well enough. The license was also relatively cheap to add to our OVS-ES agreement.

I've found that over the years, I'll (very rarely) come across a keyboard that types ASCII characters instead of the regular keys. It's some form of Alt+??? key combination, but I've never identified which combination it is. Maybe it's linked to your issue?

While it's not exactly cheap (or readily available at the moment), the Steam Deck might be a compelling device, with Switch like portability and by all accounts (review embargo only lifted yesterday), a decent PC gaming experience. But as it's still in the pre-order phase and not yet shipping, it might be worth waiting if it's something you wanted to consider. Aside from that, a second hand Xbox One or PS4 would be a good option, with second hand games also coming in cheap from the likes of CEX. You could also look at emulator devices, to play retro games.

We also did a Fresh Start wipe like @IRL suggested. I couldn't not for the life of me figure out another way.

I managed to get a 3080 last year and when I'm not gaming, it's mining. With the amount I've mined, I've cashed out enough to cover the costs of electricity, so I'm effectively mining for free. In my wallet, at today's (lower/recovering) value, I've got some £800, which is more than I paid for the 3080.

Our data storage/backup strategy is as follows: Live production data on our HP MSA (with VSS enable in the virtual file servers) VEEAM nightly backups from MSA to QNAP (with 30 day retention) VEEAM backup copy job to NAS1 in another physical block. NAS scheduled to power on and off around the job schedule. Never on at the same time as NAS2. (2-copy retention) VEEAM backup copy job to NAS2 in another physical block. NAS scheduled to power on and off around the job schedule. Never on at the same time as NAS1. (2-copy retention) Bi-Monthly QNAP scheduled file copy to 12TB external HDD1, which is kept at my house Bi-Monthly QNAP scheduled file copy to 12TB external HDD2, which is kept at my network manager's house Periodic RClone job to Google I do also have jobs for End of Term 1, End of Term 2 and End of Year, but these only backup server with staff/pupil data on them, such as file servers, SIMS, biometrics, etc. - End of Term 1 & 2 are just for longer term data recover. They only keep one copy, just in case someone wants data back from six months ago, which isn't in VSS or VEEAM. - End of Year is RCloned to Google and also a HDD, which is locked in a fire safe for data retention

We've been using VEEAM since 2015 and it's been excellent. We've also used QNAP NAS devices (previous model had a motherboard failure, now currently running a TVS-1272XU-RP) and it's been one of those set it up and forget about it things.

I'm reading this stuff but I'm not sure what it all means for me. So from April, my annual council tax bill will reduce by £150? Then from October, I'll get a £200 discount on my annual energy bills, but from the following April I'll have to pay it back at £40 a year for the next five years? I also don't understand why my rates are also going up for my green electricity supply, which shouldn't rely on the wholesale price of gas?

Maybe it's season 3. Whichever is the latest seasons that aired before Christmas, that's the one I haven't seen. I do love the show!

I've been using Spiceworks for years, originally hosted on-site, but now use their free cloud-hosted solution. It's not heavily customisable, but it serves us fine for ticketting and AD integration.

I'm now caught up with The Book of Boba Fett, so need to see what's next on my list of things to watch. I'm thinking Season 2 of What We Do In The Shadows. I'm actually wondering if my TV was contributing to the poor viewing experience of the action scenes (though I haven't noticed it in other shows). I have a LG C1 and I've specifically turned off all the TruMotion crap. But is seems that the built-in Dolby Cinema profiles also have it enabled, which by default, locks out individual settings (including TruMotion). I had to disable the "Auto-Genre" setting, which automatically choses picture profiles based on the source feed, then I could toggle the individual settings.
