We also have an issue here with certain websites not blocking. Most odd! Thought it was our flash exclusion list at first, but now other people seem to be mentioning it..maybe it's not.

Hi all, I've noticed that (at least for us) Windows 7 gives no indication to the user that software is being installed on boot when it's deployed via group policy, just sits on 'Please Wait' is this how it's supposed to be? Seems a little odd, just wondering if this is a setting we have missed or a 'feature'? Any help appreciated, thanks! Rob

Well, I left for home last night and one of the other guys here took a call from Forensics and we are now running 3.0.0.9, I doubt i'll get a good indication as to how things are for awhile (No students I bet today)

I sent them an e-mail earlier today RE the tool, should have a reply soon hopefully. Rob

CHR1S, If you go to the console, system options..it's under License and version details. Still running 3.0.0.8 here..the tool fails to run as well now.

jamin100, did you have to run 'bhamupdatefix.zip' to get it to update to the current version? Do you know if we need to run this again to get 3.0.0.9 or will it have sorted the issue with the Birmingham proxies for good?

We have some W7 clients out on our network, and have heard nothing back yet. Though I think people avoid using them! All the staff machines are W7, but we dare not put PCE back on any staff machines yet.

We got our test patch files today from Link2ICT. We still have a strange issue with some sites refusing to block, but I have a sneaky suspicion its to do with our Site to Zone assignment lists for flash usage. However, general browsing and use seems improved x10 over 3.0.0.8, this is on IE8 + Sophos.

Did you manage to get this working? I've just upgraded our install as the software requested and it now doesn't work. Just displays the same message as the OP had. Any suggestions? Worked fine before!

I was told on Friday by Forensics that a fix for the IE performance issue should be available next week, followed 10-20 days later by PCE 3100.
