Anyone else having an issue with the menu not redirecting the first login after a reboot? Log out and back in and it works fine.

Has anyone got a copy of the fix? I've been sent it by Capita and the archive was empty *sigh*. Now the person I was dealing with is out of the office!

I'll be installing it on my home PC and office PC. No intention of rolling it out across site any time soon though.

You could try changing the 'Logon to' setting for the user account in AD to just that of the Fileserver. That should then stop them being able to log onto anything else with those credentials.

That's fine and all, we have no plans to migrate at this time. But still doesn't explain where the stats are coming from on O365 regarding mail protection since we aren't using it at all for mail.

Just tried to assign it to myself and I get a warning that my on-premises mailbox hasn't been migrated to Exchange Online. The Exchange Online mailbox will be available after migration is completed. Hmmmm!

It's the actual school domain. The license i have assigned to my account are Office 365 ProPlus for Faculty: - OneDrive for Business (Plan 1) - Office 365 ProPlus Office 365 Education E1 For Faculty: - Yammer for Academic (On by default) - Office Online for Education - Sharepoint Plan 1 for EDU Both Exchange Online (Plan 1) and Lync Online (Plan 2) are not checked. O365 even reports on my user that I have no Exchange Mailbox.

Hi all, We have O365 setup but aren't using it for Exchange (we are still onsite) so the Exchange license isn't even assigned to anyone. However the 'Mail Protection' section is showing 95 Messages received and 57 processed by filtering. Upon closer inspection the top recipients are myself, my technician and our generic IT support address. Could anyone explain why this is the case?

Hi all, I'm new to SAN storage and want to look at virtualising (Hyper V Cluster) our servers and storing the VHD's on a SAN. Will also be using this SAN for storing our files, application data and local backups. Can anyone recommend any manufacturers or models that I could look at? We use HP servers mainly but their SAN offerings have me confused to be honest. Also, is Fibre Channel worth spending the extra money on or is iSCSI acceptable for the most part? Just running the usual kind of applications - Exchange, Lync, SCCM, DPM. Thanks, Rob.

Hi Guys, I'm in the middle of setting up O365 for OneDrive and was wondering how many people (if any) have ditched the idea of on site storage for their users? If so, how do you handle apps outside of the Office suite? For example things like Flash and Premiere Elements. Is it even feasible to do this? Thanks in advance.

Hi guys, Just been messing with an 8.1 image and i'm slowly coming to the conclusion it just doesn't work the way I want it to, mainly due to the Metro setup. I've got a custom XML in place that works somewhat (This PC doesn't appear, SIMS doesn't seem to work). The only way i can get This PC to show is if i don't set the GPO to 'Remove common program groups from Start Menu'. However if i don't do that there are several items then available in the menu I don't wish people to access. What are other people doing with regards to Start / Metro / Apps list....our normal start menu redirect isn't particularly attractive in Win 8.1 Thanks in advance.

There is a disable activation lock button on Meraki but it just gives this - Error - Activation lock bypass code not found with Apple. Is activation lock already disabled? I can get a code too...but can't see what to do with it?

Hi all, We've recently had an iPad returned to us by a member of staff. It was all setup through configurator and Meraki. I restored it through configurator for re-assignment and was met with the message that the iPad was currently linked to the previous member of staffs ID and to sign in order to us the iPad. Said member of staff is still here so I've gotten in touch with them about it. I'm presuming this is related to iCloud and Find my iPhone. Is there anyway of stopping this happening in future? Do we have to make sure that anyone who has an iPad removes their iCloud account before we take it back? Can we disable iCloud through Meraki? Thanks in advance.

Hi all, To those of you who are in the Link2ICT EES agreement that was taken out 1st July 2012. Has anyone been invoiced yet for the 3rd year of it? I'm looking at our renewal quotes for when this agreement runs out and just happened to notice we don't have an invoice for Year 3 on our system. Anyone else in the same situation?

Hi all, Those of you who are using 365 and have setup Team Sites, what do you use them for? We already have a VLE. Is it feasible to set one up as a 'Common' shared storage vault?

We've used Logitech versions of a similar device. Had plenty of staff lose / misplace the USB and can confirm they were unique! Never noticed any side effects on our WiFi either.

Another vote for Ricoh direct here. Been with them almost 12 months now on our managed service and has been very good all round.
