  1. I've always found that DNS things on the SWGfL tend to be dealt with by one of the RM India team. They are normally fast at doing any changes or fixes if you log a call via https://esi.swgfl.org.uk/ or https://support.rm.com/ Alternativly SWGfL technical support number is 0845 307 7870 but this will just divert you to a support engineer from RM.
  2. WebDAV Navigator app and a HTTPS WebDAV connection using IIS from the 2016 server. That will all work for free. However WebDAVnav+ has school mode for a small cost and I recommend the configuration and lockdown features that gives you. http://seanashton.net/webdav/
  3. Another third party to look at is https://www.clouddesignbox.co.uk
  4. Do you have any contact information as BT are blocking our Wiltshire school domain also.
  5. If you want the features of Configurator and not the frustration give GroundCtl a trial. It's basically Configurator in the cloud that just works. There is a per device annual charge, however we found this well worth it compared to the time you will save with device resets and setups. https://www.groundctl.com
  6. If you go into Exchange admin you can do this for free with a mail flow rule. 7. I'm just down the M4 in Chippenham. Might be up for something.
  8. Sorry never came back to update the thread. Basically there is an unsupported workaround. If you take a SharePoint URL to a file and append to it "&dchat=1" then that session will not have Doc Chat. The owner of the file can copy the URL, edit it, and then send that out. Here's an example: https://msft.spoppe.com/teams/wac/_layouts/15/WopiFrame.aspx?sourcedoc=%7Bedd18b12-d702-4c08-b6f6-2704232d8cdb%7D&action=default&dchat=1 NOTE: this appending doesn't work with generated Share links so it's important that the participants already have access to the file prior to clicking the link. Also my colleague also started a SharePoint Uservoice vote for the ability to disable the feature here: https://sharepoint.uservoice.com/forums/329214-sites-and-collaboration/suggestions/16300306-ability-for-administrators-to-disable-office-online If anyone else has is having the same issues with online chat could you please vote
  9. SharePoint Online
  10. This is an example of our SPF record that is set up for O365 and SWGfL mail servers. v=spf1 include:swgflmail.ifl.net include:spf.protection.outlook.com ~all
  11. I am also looking to do this exact setup. Please do report back on how you get on and what you had to do to achieve it. Sorry I cant be any help as I'm yet to do it myself.
  12. VMware AirWatch can also do this.
  13. We use a client on our Windows PCs to supervise devices with a bit of software called GroundControl https://www.groundctl.com . Basically cloud based version of Apple configurator that can also do DEP devices. It allows automated workflows to setup and reset devices via USB. Brilliant for bulk onboarding iOS devices into an MDM like Meraki or AirWatch. We reset whole sets of 30+ iPads in less than 5 minutes! Can't recommend it enough. Well worth its price tag.
  14. We use "VMware AirWatch" mixed with "groundctl.com" for easy on-bonding devices into AirWatch MDM via USB cable. ---- Update ---- Sorry missed the word "FREE" its defiantly not that.
  15. I don't think the tach works like that! 10base2 is a shared bus for Tx and Rx on the same connection with terminators (half-duplex). But 10baseT is point to point with 2 pairs of wire, one for Tx and a separate pair for Rx (full-duplex). I might be wrong, if you force a switch port into half-duplex mode you might able to wire something up on just one pair on the RJ45 to a BNC. You could get powered converters, but they where effectively the same as the hub on eBay with just one port. Can't find anyone selling the signal port converters. As you say this is old 90s tech.
  16. I found this one eBay and thought you might like it: http://r.ebay.com/AdzUPd Don't forget you will also need 2 terminators, 2 T BNC splinters, and 3 BNC cables. You can probably get all that from http://CPC.co.uk
  17. That is for one of the original Clever Touch screens. Your best bet would to ask a "Clever Touch Specialist" reseller. I got some for a Clever Touch 6 point version the other day, but that's the next version up from the one you are looking for and UK stock was low. I used Hugh Symons AV Ltd http://www.hughsymonsav.com just send them the photo and they will find one fore you.

  19. Same as Chris's suggestion. go for something in the HPE/Aruba 2530 Switch Series. The only true silent one in the range is the 8 port version of the 2530 Switch Series. However I have both 2920s and 2530s and the 2530 has a barbule hum no where near as noisy as a 2920.
  20. @VeryPC_Colin_M Any ideas if new versions of the Linx being released will run Windows 10 64bit versions. Unfortunately the 1010B and 1010E did not; probably due to the 2GB RAM restrictions. Looking for a small cheap Linx type tablet, but would be better if they can run Windows 10 64bit OS. Also any ideas on the release dates and availability for stock?
  21. That sounds correct. Think we will need some screen shots of the 2 switches VLAN config for the ports in question. One other thing to check is the Netgear switch firmware. Is it running the latest version for both core and edge switch? I have in the past (going back 6 years) seen Inter Switch VLAN communication issues on uplinks with bugs in the Netgear firmware. It's a bit of a long shot but worth checking. Post some screen shots of config pages if you can.
  22. On your uplink ports between switches you need one VLAN untagged to carry all tagged VLANS between the switches. This would normally be your management VLAN 1 or 10 or something else depending on what VLAN the switches management and web interface live on. Some switches will brake this rule by slowing all VLANS to be tagged but automatically setting a primary VLAN to carry the tagged traffic. A primary VLAN is basically a untagged VLAN to carry all the tagged ones. I think HP Procurve / HPE Aruba switches can do this strange auto setting of a primary VLAN if you tag all VLANs on a port. Netgear however will not set a primary VLAN automatically on some switch models, if you simply just tag all VLANs on a link. Try untagging one (the management/primary VLAN) on both switch uplinks and you should see all the tagged VLANs get carried between switches.
  23. When that Cisco router was first installed it only had a 3 gig trunk and no extra module for internal VLAN routing. The reason it was not all done on the HP routing is because the Cisco allowed complex ACLs for internal routing and also NAT (it was originally just on the HP). Looks like someone has installed the module afterwords and not fully understood that's why you now have all the extra connections between the module everything else. Suspect it was that interim contractor. If it helps Steve, I'v got the same router at my new place and a Smoothwall with 802.1X running BYOD on a secure VLAN protected with ACL. Pop over the other end of town and I'll go over my config. Might give you some ideas for your reconfigure job. To much to put down into words on a thread.
  24. Got one of these workstations and just ordered a second one for our office. Excellent value and perfect for running test VMs on at the same time using as your main workstation. Thanks @ICTDirect_Dave
  25. I haven't seen any thing in the GUI and unfortunately there is no REST API like some other MDM solutions (like AirWatch) to extract into powershell. Profile Manager is a PostgreSQL database underneath so you could use some SQL to extract a list. I would google PostgreSQL and Profile Manager to see if there are any SQL examples of extracting the device list.
