  1. Posting as I can no longer see the wood for the trees. Our DC fell over yesterday and stopped issuing DHCP addresses. (Forget what the error was - haven't slept much) Uninstalled the dhcp role and reinstalled, authorized and waited. No ip addresses were being issued (Or the clients weren't able to get them) Uninstalled the role and installed the role on a different server. Same result, server says it's working, clients not picking up any addresses. Someone give me some basic troubleshooting stuff please, i'm knackered and i'm 99% i'm missing something obvious and the 100% it's going to be bl00dy DNS Cheers Si
  2. Where are you getting these time frames from ? IRMS says registers to be kept current year +1 (+3 if its a meal register, +6 for fsm) SEN = DOB +25yrs. LAc I have no idea.
  3. Some episodes were good others not to my taste.
  4. I use http://www.swipedon.com at both my schools, cheap to buy, just need and ipad and a label printer to go with it.
  5. Get it in writing that the HT/SLT are happy for you to do it and then just do it. It's above your pay grade, let someone else worry about it, just cover your arse first.
  6. Have had this in the past when we used Squid as a proxy for NTLM passthough, now we have a transparent proxy all is well.
  7. Not allowed to spend any more money until April
  8. We have recently bought into EdulinkOne and Teaching & Admin staff love it. It's simple to administer and use, it's great for parental engagement. We don't use it for registration at the moment as we need a dinner register and I haven't seen an option for recording lunches (although I haven't asked either) Currently using the Parents Eve bookings and its gone down a storm, a great way of forcing those last few parents to get on board.
  9. Thanks all, I've had conflicting advice on this. We will ditch the paper registers once they have been transferred to sims.
  10. Currently our teachers take a paper register and that is transferred into Sims. Do we need to keep the paper registers? Si
  11. It is a jump but a manageable one, slow down, plod it. You'll be amazed at how quickly your body can adapt to running and these "leaps" will suddenly become something you chuckle about worrying over.
  12. Training to HR so longer runs/rides should be using body fat/fuel and with a lower carb diet i'm trying to train my body to use it's own fuel as apposed to overkill of carbs and gels etc. Weight loss has happened, just a 1lb, but after Christmas excess I'll take it
  13. Training for half ironman in June, 6 days a week. You'd think I'd lose some weight
  14. Spending the next couple of days on the Avantis stand, hopefully sat in the Delorean from Back tot he Future
  15. Anyone get this working with an O365 email account ? I have checked the account details but users aren't receiving emails. Si
  16. A bags a bag, beats my carrier bag.
  17. Just boring once again, as mentioned above, how can a dalek take out an entire armed unit including a tank but wonder woman manages to microwave it to death? It's getting more like scooby doo and his mates than Dr Who.
  18. Just watched "The Oath" car crash TV, funny and enthralling.
  19. Was nearly a good episode, started well then fell off a cliff. This series is just too childish, too childish even for my 11 year old child.
  20. Still here, 3pm kids leave, 3.05 car park will be deserted until Jan 7th !!
  21. Personal - Make more effort to see friends, life and family seem to continuously get in the way. Fitness - Signed up for Half Ironman in June, Long Course Weekend in July (Full ironman over 3 days), have 3 marathons penciled in and would like to try and fit in my 1st ultra before the end of 2019.
  22. I just signed up with RAC via quidco, had all of what you list below and cover for any car for me and the wife for £170, quidco will give me £65 back, £105 for all that cover i a bargain.
  23. Enjoying Salvation on Netflix at the moment, sort of end of world disaster, political, techy mish mash
  24. Mowgli (netflix) very good, closer to the book story line. Don't expect any singing and dancing, it gets dark!! Bohemian Rhapsody - finally got around to watching this, loved it!! (massive queen fan and wasn't disappointed)
  25. I bet there's some techie somewhere sh***ing his or her pants after deciding to upgrade some firmware somewhere in the world Wouldn't want to be in that team this morning.
