I would imagine that they are concerned about the security of it, but you can set it so it can only be used to view what is on another pc not interact with it, also it can be set so that a prompt window comes up before connection so the vnc "viewer" cannot view anything without consent. Maybe the tech's haven't examined all the options?

Ive just deployed a 3 pack of the Unifi kit, have had 30+ tablets connected to 1 access point with no dropping out at all, granted they were only browsing the web but its a good start!!

You can use VNC in just viewer mode?

We have a couple of usb drawing tablets attached to our nursery pc's to allow the children to "draw" more easily using the sylus as apposed to using a mouse. Apart from going down the route of "touch devices" i.e. ipads etc there's not much else we use here. One ingenius thing i've seen (and im esily impressed lol) the nursery staff stick a little bit of velcro on the left click button of the mouse, so children get used to where the left click is.

Has anyone got an example MST for this software, so I can register the product on deploy. The kudlian site used to have an MST generator but its down and I'm getting no response from their support desk.

Have you shared the printer? Try creating a new user "print" and authenticating using that ?

Im looking for a simple "live cd" that I can run on an old pc that my computer club has dismantled and put back together on a board. We want to show the pc running "something" any suggestions?

We use Epson here, 3 year no quibble warrenty, fitler full of gunk and lamp blown, no worries they will change it

How bigis the install/config? Maybe we could host it somewhere? Or if you could give niceinstructions with links to software we could build it ourselves without too much brainpower being used

How have you achieved this mate? We invested in eepc very early and have some with just 8gig hdd gathering dust about the place? You just got single sign on and not joined to domain ?

There can't be a time difference of more than 5mins between server and workstations, so what I did was change the time on the DC by 3mins initially and then a week later make another change, this gives all the workstations a chance to contact the DC and update their time.

We would love to go down the ipad route but as we cannot afford a laptop for every pupil then we would need profiles, and ipads don't support profiles. Bring on the androids!!
