Indeed i did. The .msi wont open with the customization tool: I need to know how to patch the ArcoReader.msi to using the .msp files so that i can deploy it via GPO

I have the files, i just can't work out how to apply the 11.0.02 update, I get this error The AcroRead.msi is version 11.0.1, i want to patch it to 11.0.2 but it comes in the form of a .msp not a .msi including the update

Hi Guys, I am having problems getting this package onto the system. I am downloading the .exe, running {FileName}.exe" -nos_ne This runs the package in the normal way although in the past it has just extract files into a temp location without actually running the setup Then im grabbing the files from the temp folder then running msiexec /a "AcroRead.msi" /p "[update name].msp to try and apply the .msp update to the package. All im getting is an error to say product is already installed or theres a problem running the .msi Has anyone successfully applied update 11.0.02? If so please can you let me know what im doing wrong / the correct way of doing it?

I have managed to populate the GAL by adding a Company name to everyones mailbox in exchange and then running powershell command to create a GAL with everyone who has company specified, however this isnt a great method as it means we would have to remember each time we setup a new user to add the company to their mailbox otherwise they wont show up in others GAL. ANy ideas?

Hi Guys, Im trying to create a GAL which lists only users at on our domain. Our exchange is under an academy's exchange forest and we can see everyones email address in the global address list at the moment from all academies which is causing confusion and people are emailing the wrong academy Im creating an Address Book Policy to restrict this but need a GAL which contains only users on our domain. What Custom Attribute do i use? We have an Address List already which users can manually select with the correct users but the ABP needs a GAL. Any ideas? Many thanks

I click add site and put these details in: I thought then you would type in the servername:8082 and it would work? The Quaritine Digest site has servername:8081 and works just fine for Sophos PureMessage The Proxy.pac is in the pac folder inside inetpub folder

It been running for a week so far so good! The only thing thats annoying me is i keep getting alerts for encrypted attachments, inbound, outbound and internal but they are only word / excel files. I have turned the administrator alerts off but i am still getting them?? This administrator alert message is generated by PureMessage because it has encountered the following events. indeed i have. I just need to figure out a way of hosting it correctly (What to put in IP Address / port) so that it is discoverable- sorry i am a bit of a noob with IIS! Also i just created the .pac file in a textfile and saved it as proxy.pac...is this right?

Hi guys, Looking to create a local proxy.pac file which adds proxy exclusions for apple devices so that they can access local resources such as internal mail when using our wifi. What do i need to do? I have created a site in IIS on our exchange server called PAC and placed the proxy.pac file in there but having difficaulties figuring out ip address / host names etc I just want them to be able to type in the server name and port or a simple address, say http://server:8081 into the proxy setting on the device Has anyone created a PAC file for ipad / i phone before? If so how and was it successful? Many thanks

Windows 7 Enterprise 64bit Yes thats exactly how we have done it but its not been successful on all machines. Not sure if using PushPrinterConnections.exe?

Can you expand on the '10 connections' for me? Does this mean 10 connections from workstations to a print server?

I just checked the GPO and its set at the top folder in our OU for all PC's to apply point and print access, however no machines were specified. I have added the student pcs to the security tab and will see how that goes?

Morning, We are having a few problems with Printer GPO's in our ICT Rooms. The printer shows in the list on the machines but it says its unavailable even though others can print to it. We create a blank GPO for the printer, link it in the OU then deploy using group policy on the print server using the print management console. We tick the deploy by computer check box and add the machines that need the GPO to the security tab. Some PC's are working ok and others are saying unavailable or not showing atall. Any ideas why this might happen? They are identical PC's hardware and software wise all been built from the same image! Many thanks

We are under our local county council and it will be a battle to get things changed but we will push for it to happen once we know which ports need to be opened. Any ideas which ones need opening? I suggested in the summer to go over to our own firewall and internet filter when we had our new network installed but the boss'es didn't want to change!

We tried Meraki without any luck, our local council blocked the connection and it just went nowhere. MAC seems the way forward, MAC Mini server cost us about £600 which is much cheaper than an imac. Will let you know when the monitor arrives and we have it setup and running.

Does the Volume purchasing cost a lot? Is it an anual cost? Sounds good, just what we need! Im guessing our MAC Mini can plug straight into any HDMI Monitor? Got a 27" LG Monitor we picked up cheap on its way with an HDMI port. Many thanks
