Hi, Have been having problems with ESM Promissor, so phoned their support yesterday and was recommended to upgrade to latest ESM. I have updated but can now not log on to it. I phoned them back but they blamed our proxy (SmoothWall). I have tried ticking the proxy section in the configuration, but still wont play ball. That asked if I could tracert to catglobal.com and I can't, not even from the Smoothwall Configuration Tests section. Any help guys? -As I cant see anything in the logs either. Any one else have these problems? Michael

Was just having a look at Richcopy which seems to be an upgrade for Robocopy, but could not see where i could do it for multiple pc's... will have a look at robocpy...

Hi, Does anyone have any scripts that can help me? I need it to be able to: move a folder from \\computername\c$\documents and settings\username\Local Setttings\Temp\archive to a server location. e.g \\storage\tests$ - but need to be able to run on multiple computers, if i can specify a txt file with computer names.... amend the computer name to the folder on the end (is this even possible ????) Any Help would be great..... Cheers, Mike

wouldn't shutdown \\computername -r -t 00 save as .bat.. do the trick.. or do you want this for more than one..

Can vouch for these, we use them and they work perfectly. Just print from your normal laserjet. The exe can be a bit of a pain tho, but it works.... Michael

We had this problem with a few of our servers a couple of weeks ago... But they were 2003.... but to solve it we uninstalled TCPIP... Start - Run - CMD - netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt You may want to try this.. Michael

Hi Tom, Were using NTLM Identification. As using NTLM Authentication, was too much for the box and caused it to fall. I've made the changes now, lets see if that clears the problem. Michael

Hi Everyone, I've been receiving emails today from a few staff, saying that the internet keeps on timing out when viewing the registers on E1 and when using email OWA. In smoothwall, i have changed the Authentication timeout in minutes to 20... but this doesn't seem to have helped much.. Example email below: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In some of the classrooms on level 7 when you are on e1 or the email and you submit a register or go to send an email, the page comes up as 'This web page cannot be displayed' as though the internet connection has been lost. This means that you have to close the page and re login to e1 or email and redo the register and write the email. It is causing a lot of hassle in terms of registers being lost. Please please can someone have a look at it. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Some staff have discovered that if you open another IE, then switch to the register, it will then send. Also if a student logs on to a PC that a member of staff was logged into before, then it still thinks that there is a member of staff logged on, but changes a short while after, when it authenticates them as themselves. can we change this? or is this to do with the same problem? Any one have any recommendations? TIA Michael

My problem now appears to be solved.... Youtube was not displaying properly, but a simple 'ctrl + F5' fixed it here.... lol I think our smoothie has cached the site and was not displaying the new content. Michael
