When we was forced to buy 290 as part of the CfP scheme. We could get the year contracts for all of them for £25K cheaper from Misco than what RM were selling them to us for. Misco have a T-Mobile contract person in house. But apparently our LEA had already arranged the best value for money deal, so we were forced to buy them RM (Why dont we have a wheeler dealer del boy smilie? or one for back handers) lol Michael

AFAIK KMS works how you describe it. But with a MAK you should be able to deploy an image with it and it should be registered and activated. Michael

We were able to purchase 5 Licenses for Win 7 Pro and requested that we were sent a MAK, so that if/when we do decide to deploy it out we dont have multiple keys. We got ours from Ramesys - £30.24 each. Michael

Snap! We have exactly the same problem. 100Mb Line..... Slow Fronter... They blamed our smoothwall, but even directly connected to the web not proxy its the same. Michael

Thanks, but according to Premiere it's not dropping any frames..... and it works perfectly with iMovie. Michael

Hi, We have quite a few iMacs, around 60 in total and they all have the same problem with Premiere CS3. Whenever you capture footage from a DV cam the audio and video are out of sync. We have tried quite a few cameras and have even bought a new Sony DCR-HC51 to try but it has the same problem. It will capture fine with iMovie though with no sync issues. Our users would like to be able to use just premiere to capture and edit the footage, so capturing with iMovie then opening with Premiere is too hard for them to understand. Can anyone shed any light on this problem? iMac 7.1 2.0ghz Adobe CS3 3.2.0 part of the Master Collection. Thanks Michael

Hi, We currently have Ghost Soltuion Suite 2.5 which is soon to expire, and I can not see anyway to capture and deploy Windows 7. We missed Vista - So I only throughly know how to deploy XP. I have read some forums that say you can bodge it. But would I be better off looking at something that can do it properly. So.... What would you lot recommend I do? SCCM, FOG or Bodge.... Thanks, Michael

Ive had this before, this has worked for me on many occasions. 1: Completely remove all versions of office install 03, 07 and office compatibility packs. 2: Delete Microsoft Office folder from Program Files. 3: Get an XP CD or a local cached i386 folder open FP40EXT.CAB in the root of the folder. Find the file fpault.dll within the cab (it may be called fpault.dl_ so rename to fpault.dll ) 4: copy file to c:\program files\common files\microsoft\shared\web server extensions\40\bin 5: rerun installation again. Probably will be popping to BETT, but because the queue was long last year me and the boss went to the pub up the road before hand. Probably not the best idea to walk around full up or beer. But we did purchase the best thing that year.. Our Smoothie box! -

Tom: We've also started recieving this message, Strangly it didnt happen before FP3 and we've not recently had new computers setup (not that many anyway). Shall I also give Gav a ring? EDIT: Actually we've just installed audit software Parago, which constanlty updates info on the web, maybe this is the cause. Michael -

linkazoid replied to Netwacky87's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
Hi Tom and Nile, I have a collection of swf's here from a perticular user today, 75 in total of various games that I haven't seen kids playing but obviously must be from the web. Would you like me to host them so you can download and add them to the filter. Or I could possibly MD5 them if thats all you need... Michael -
Group Policy Preference Server 2003
linkazoid replied to linkazoid's topic in Windows Server 2000/2003
Hi Stuart, I thought that it would be better to ask this question in the thread rather than PM as other people may also be confused. As i've today finally got round to installing Windows 7, I've installed RSAT and have configured Windows components to show Group Policy Management. If I apply GPP from my computer to clients and my computer is off when the clients start will they still apply? Regards, Michael -

We've been looking at various different ones, is this one portable enough to move from class to class, and blast the projectors whilst still mounted? Michael
