Also it might be worth downloading inssider to see if any of your AP's Over lap in a given area if they do set them channels staticly.

i would advise you set the ssid and encription the same and as long as you keep them all on difrent channels where nessasery it will work so leaveing it at auto will be fine. i would posibly consider regularly changeing the PSK key or even better going for WPA-ENTERPRISE security if your AP's will support it, how ever unlikly PSK keys can be broken if the right word list is used or bruteforced. also i have seen times where the keys have been given out to perfect strangers.

use printer management to deploy printers its easy and fast just add the printer to windows printer management and right click then deply easy as

We have a ubuntu box with 2 nic's, FireHol On it and squid and we set it to the Gateway in DHCP and set firehol to forward ports to squid wich throws them onto the correct proxy it is on its own network thats only used for wireless but it works great we dont have to do any fideling with setting proxys. and the data can get filterd as well if you put dans guardian on between the firehol and squid(this is what we have done). if you want any of the basic config ill be happy to help.

FYI. if you have more than one interface and IF you have set (even by DHCP) more then one gateway address. it wont be able to access the internet as it gets stuck with the default gateway, even if both networks go to the internet. Solution: set all but mabe one interface to static adresses (not dynamic [DHCP]) and dont provide a gateway address for any more then one interface (with internet) as it will cause issues.

set the proxy for apt-get do the following go to /etc/apt/apt.conf (edit with what ever you like i prefer nano) change the file to read [Acquire::http::Proxy "http://YOUR-PROXY:8080";] (without the square brackets) restart the machine. FYI if you have more thn one working interface it will get stuck choseing a gateway so only set the gateway one one interface or set all but the interface on DHCP to not have a Default gateway.

python works great on windows just a word of warning: python can esaily be used to communicate over the network verry easily so good firewalls might be recomended in a school enviroment and putting it on another machine sounds a good idea

i checked the drains when i re did the door skin and thats a good idea might give it a chance to dry out a bit too.

well that what i thought at first so i have re sealed the door skin with thick plastic. but it still seems to be comeing in as i did this in the summer. its stuck on well to so i dont expect it to be leaking its dubble sided and duct taped on. with no gaps.

As far as im aware theres no heater matrix out put in the rear ofside foot well an that seems to be the only place it collects. and some times when you open the back door theres water on the door ledge.

i know this isnt useful but i used a transparent proxy between the clients and the NGFL proxy wich works nicely. uthenticated users use one vlan (Enterprise security) and unathenticated (WPA-PSK) is vlaned to the transparent proxy wich ports them directly to NGFL so they cant see our internal anything, and get fully filterd. As unauthenticated users they will need to get information from dhcp as they need corect ip addresses to function so not allowing them access to some form of dhcp is a desatrous idea.

we had a simaler issue hear in office 2010 it seems our issue was down to the printer driver and it only messed up when pictures were printed. i sujest that you check the printer drivers or if like us the printer is no longer suported you save as a PDF or another format that can be easily opend such as jpeg. and print from those its the only way we have found round the problem.

A windows update has been relesed that breaks the Eclipse.NET and posibly other MSSQL Databases and sites, no idea which update but it seems to stop the server from allowing access to the MSSQL data base. It produces errors on calander and class renewals[eclipse.NET], some of the lesser used features. after a period of having one or both servers off replication will cease to happen change the following REG Key on all servers HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\NTDS\Parameters Allow Replication With Divergent and Corrupt Partner click modify and change the 0 to a 1 force replication change the registry key again and it should continue to replicate we had this on some of our 2008 servers after easter and the summer breaks as servers havent comunicated with each other in a cupple of days they need to be forced to accept the changes from one of the other DC'S. the servers tumbstone replication if turned off to prevent errors from relicating over all of the DC'S there is a command to run to do this but i cant remeber what it was, or find it but the reg key does the same thing

QQ. i know this might sound daft but the open university courses do they equate to a set level of learning like btec or degree. the only reason i ask is cus im intrested in one that has Level: Masters on it and i was wondering what level of qualification this would provide. i know none of you may know but i felt it worth asking.

i think that they need to be tought good transferable skill sets, and not just Ms office, Paintshop etc. and i think programing shuld be included but in a way that is future proof ive done VB and pascal in the past. now that these languages are object orentated i cant see them changing any time soon and a skill set in one visual language is not to dificult to move to one of the others. and i think that these are some good skill sets to obtain.

Ive been looking into the microsoft courses for some time but it seems the number of centers for training and examination are being dramaticly reduced [no idea why] and the price is getting higher. ive done the cisco CCNA Course and its definalty a great course interms of learning abought networks and networking and covers servers and communications from a difrent angle definatly worth haveing covers much more than just the cisco equipment. small issue with the CCNA it only lasts 3 years, but at least it keeps people current. Interms of cisco there are far more courses to do than just the CCNA altho some only last 12 months.

i hope they do. any one know how japan's geting on with geting production back up.
