  13. pretty sure it a registry permission problem open up regedt32 and search for mspaint and try and add allusers or whatever to the permissions. If you are using XP this was an old problem I had years ago and I have lost the fix to it but sure it was to do with the registry found the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shared Tools\Graphics Filters http://www.computing.net/answers/windows-95/ms-paint-fix-open-and-save-jpg-and-gif-files/65364.html

  18. found this (Windows install) In the installing users local profile folder C:\documents and settings\username\local settings\temp .... look for a file named avremove.log open in a text editor, jump to the bottom, will state found x removed y products.
