  1. I think correct me if Im wrong but doesn't that work on System Restore Points rather than images ?
  2. Thanks that's the info I needed. Both versions are installed. Cheers.
  3. Hi all, If I only want to use certain printer drivers, how do I do this via GPO ? Do the clients pull the drivers from the ones that are installed on the server for example... I have a printer installed on my server with the correct driver that I want to use, has to be a specific version of the driver that I want to use on my Windows 7 Clients, so will the clients pull this driver from the Server ? or Will I have to do it another way ? Thanks all. Chris.
  4. PIXreseizer ? Image resizing, do it with PIXresizer
  5. We use pfSense for our VPN into the network, using OpenVPN
  6. Yeah, have looked and continue looking, problem is I live in Hull so no one wants to employ me as I';m not local but I need a job up North in order to be able to move... going round in circles. I do know theres not a lot going on "up North", there isnt a lot about and will probarbly be better off staying where I am for now. Thanks all.
  7. We have a VPN straight into the network and then just use RDP or VNC into servers, or if VPN isnt working we use Team Viewer.
  8. Morning all, Well I was thinking of moving back to Darlington, not looking for anything temporary I'd need permanent. Thanks
  9. thought that might be the case... Drats!
  10. Hi all, Just need some quick advice as im about to buy Xbox Live gold again. I see the Family pack has gone, and it seems unclear as to whether my wife would be able to use her profile to play live if ive bought it on my account, which is what she'd like to do. Anyone any ideas before I click Proceed and money comes out of my account ? Cheers Chris
  11. so thats 6 meg then ? Have you tried connecting to the server and transferring over SFTP ? I am confused slightly, you said your running an FTP server.. if your using SSH on Linux you don't nee to run an SSH server to be able to file transfer. Just connect using Filezilla or WinSCP over port 22 and transfer files. As far as I can recall, ive never come across anything to do with file upload limits with SFTP on Redhat based systems. Have you tried restarting the service ?
  12. Actually the RKP's arnt that bad on ebay, you can reset them easy enough too. I do have pets and have been looking at the PETwise PIR's. Not sure how they work though ? Id set the alarm before I went to bed with the dog in the kitchen ?
  13. I like the Ras Pi idea but dont have one!!
  14. I have the Proximity Pad RKP's and ahve also just been told by the lad opposite me that he has a Premier 24 Control Panel in his garage that is still in box. He bought it for his business but never fitted it. I can have that so thats nice of him, hes got some Prox Readers too that I can have. All I need now is PIR's which are cheap enough and a sounder. Then figure out how im going to install it.......
  15. I am looking to install one, Ive dabbled a bit in alarms but this ones a bit different to what I have touched before. Im looking to get something Texecom based. At home in a tool box Ive got x2 Texecom Premier Grade 3 LCD Keypads. I can get hold of panels dirt cheap too (looking at a premier 24 on ebay). Debating whether to get a panel with built in keypad such as the Veritas range, or put these keypads up, get the control panel and buy the PIR's and the sounder box. The joys with the Premier I suppose is I can incorporate Fire alarm function within the system and have battery backup! (I believe anyway) What has everyone else got ? Anyone installed one of these Premier systems ? Cheers Chris.
  16. Why not just replace with new Pro-Curves... Pro-Curves are about the best switches on the market. I wouldnt touch those little Linksys Switches. Just stick with HP
  17. A colleague of mine is trying to access the following site. http://www.safedig.co.uk We are authorised to use it since we have login credentials. However, nothing is displaying on the page properly when he logs in, and the site says it will only run on IE7 and Windows XP. We have the latest version of IE and I have tried it in comparability mode. There is a pop up box that asks to install ActiveX content which I have agreed to and have even installed it in an admin account and tried it on that account but same results. Any ideas ? I have even tried a different browser like Avant. Thanks all.
  18. If we need to control guest access we give them one time code which will work with captive portal, after a period of time that code no longer works so that is how we control access to our wife. If its computers then we designate ports on the switch into a VLAN, usually a guest or restricted VLAN. This ensures that whatever they try and access they cant get to the main internal network. We also have network accounts setup, so if a user logs onto a PC using the wrong VLAN, they can just open up VPN and dial into the main part of the network which they need to reach.
  19. We do this, our private LAN is on an internal VLAN on its own IP range, anything else on the network does not have any access to this VLAN, we have 802.1x for unauthorized devices that can be plugged into any Ethernet port. The vlan for 802.1x is firewalled and cant access anything other than the internet. We have Wifi, one private SSID and one public. The public Wifi has captive portal on it. If that helps.
  20. My boiler is an Ideal 30Kilowattt Boiler Logic Combi Boiler | High efficiency reliable boiler from Ideal Heating Im going to sign up with ebico I think, some way or another BG are royally ripping me off!!! Thanks for all your advice though folks. I hate energy suppliers.
  21. A calibration is where, the meter during 2am and 3am does some jiggery poker with the credit, re-calibrates itself so that the meter after so much has been used makes the price go down on the per KwH but no idea as to what price.
  22. Just spoke to BG and this is what it breaks down too. Gas: Standard Tariff Usage average is: 2.69 - 8.065 per KwH (Tier 1) 4.524 Per KwH (tier 2) Calibration charge is 26.09 Electric: Standard Tariff 2.31 Average Usage. : 21.98 Per KwH 13.27 Per KwH New prices as of 23rd November Gas: 5.05 per Kwh (tier1) , 26.09 Standing Charge, 26.009 (tier2) Elec: 13.75 Per KwH, 26.09 Standing Charge, 26.009 (tier2) IM confused by all this if im honest.
  23. Well I had a worth with BG, and I was told that they could put me on a different tariff a lower tariff but there would be no point as on the 23rd November all the tariffs are going up anyway regardless. I'd apparently only benefit from the new tariff for a few days. Apparently I get charged a Calibration charge on the meter too and thats £1 a day between 2-3AM. Definitely haven't got a leak - Gas check has been done and the meters have been checked! Think Ill look at ebico thanks all.
  24. Am I really stuck topping up £30 a week on my pre-payment meter ? I have just moved into a new house, not much bigger than my old one, still a two bedroom. Both Gas and Electric meters are pre-payment, I wanted to go onto Direct Debit but apparently I haven't passed the credit check, although last time I was with British Gas they ended up owing me money and I got a cheque off them for £150. I'm now putting £30 a week on my Gas meter, thats with no debts from previous tennants etc. I last topped up on Friday. Boiler is on roughly about an hour before we go to bed and an hour in the morning when we wake up. Boiler is also less than 3 months old. I call British Gas for them to tell me, I have failed the credit check so they wont remove that meter and put me on a monthly payment meter, and if I wanted to switch supplier its just tough t***y because it takes 5 weeks for a new supplier to set my account up anyway so Im still stuck paying them £30 for 5 weeks. I want to switch my supplier to the supplier which I had at my old address, thats going to take 5 weeks apparently. Looks like im in stuck! Electric seems to be fine I put £20 on that on Friday and still have £13 left I can live with that. - oh and that standing charge on the gas £1.80 a day! Any Advice ??? Thanks all.
  25. Is that the Paid for version or Community version ?
